I pushed the door completely open, seeing as she only opened it halfway, and entered her bedroom to find Romanov, one of my men, on her bed, wearing nothing but the blanket that covered his body. His eyes widened in surprise and I rolled my eyes, nodding at him to get out of bed, his boner visible despite the cover that he had on it. I looked at my sister who had a pink robe draped over her naked body, and rolled my eyes, watching as Romanov got out of bed and slid his boxers on, wanting to get his clothes. “Get out of my sight, Romanov” I said, coldly. He quickly ran out of the room, past both me and Claire, not bothering to put on his clothes as he left me with my sister.

Anya’s POV The words still echoed in my skull long after Roman shut the car door. Viktor is dead. I couldn’t bring myself to move. My body felt like lead, heavy and useless, as the air thinned around me. My chest refused to expand. My ears rang. Dead. No, not Viktor. My brother would never be dead. He promised he'll always be there for me so there's no way he would die. The passenger door swung open again. Roman’s build filled the door space, his dark coat flaring in the cold wind. His hand gripped my arm before I could protest, pulling me out of the seat like I weighed nothing.
