Beneath the Immortal Sky: A Heart Left Burning

Beneath the Immortal Sky: A Heart Left Burning

Is that alright? He nodded, very serious. She held her hand near his and felt what was there. It was not absent. It was deep — very deep, pulled inward rather than outward, a root that had turned itself so far inside that the standard testing methods had found nothing because they were looking at the surface and the root was nowhere near the surface. It was the kind of root that needed something internal to activate it. Something real. She stood up and looked at his mother. 'He has a root,' she said simply. 'It is not absent. It is inverted. Turned inward instead of outward. He needs a different method.'

ROOT ADMINISTRATOR: BLACKWOOD, ARIA. The title locked into place with a sound like a slamming vault door. Immediately, the pressure shifted. The violent data-entry slowed into a deep, rhythmic throb. The fever broke, leaving me shivering in the sudden chill of the basement. My skin was still translucent, my veins glowing with a rhythmic gold light that matched Leo’s pulse, but I was stable. I was the Root. I turned my head. The room had re-rendered, but it was different. The shadows were sharper. I could see the code-leak dripping from the ceiling like black oil.

THE VILLAINESS REMEMBERED ME:In Every Timeline, She Chose De

THE VILLAINESS REMEMBERED ME:In Every Timeline, She Chose De

"The light always returns." Ember opened her eyes. "The light always returns." --- Rowan had gone to the old forest. He walked through the snow, his boots leaving deep prints, and he found the clearing where Vesper had taught the root magic. The silver flowers there were covered in ice, but their light was still visible, pulsing faintly beneath the frost. "The roots are not sleeping," Rowan said, when he returned to the garden. "They are growing. Slowly. In the dark. The way roots grow."

THE LAST SHIFT: A Werewolf without a Wolf

THE LAST SHIFT: A Werewolf without a Wolf

A sacrifice to something deeper. Beneath my feet, the earth pulsed once, twice. Then a steady rhythm began, like the beating of a colossal heart buried under the ridge. Each thrum rattled the hollow walls, each pulse pulling air from my lungs until it felt as though I were breathing inside someone else’s chest. The girl’s cry pierced through the smoke. “No… no, it’s waking it. The Root-Heart.” My throat tightened. “The what?” Her voice cracked. “The core. The soul of the forest, every tree, every shadow, every guardian… it’s only a limb. The Root-Heart commands them all. And now it knows you’re here.”

The Vampire Lord Wants My Blood

The Vampire Lord Wants My Blood

“Why have you trespassed into the Nocturne Territories? Why did you draw blood from my soldiers?” The one I held under my will, the older of the two, parted her pale lips. Her voice was flat, devoid of the melody usually found in the speech of her kind. “We sought the market,” she droned. “We came for the Root of Marrow. It grows only in the soil of the Eastern border.” I glanced at Axel. He was still holding the younger sister, his eyes narrowed in suspicion. The Root of Marrow was a rare herb, known for its ability to mend broken spirits and failing bodies, but it was also a key ingredient in several dark concoctions.

Alpha Mordecai: Love & Obsession

Alpha Mordecai: Love & Obsession

I froze as I recognized the voice instantly. I turned to see Mordecai standing several feet away, and I had no idea how long he had been there. I sighed. Somehow I wasn’t even surprised anymore. I gestured toward the plants in front of me. “Then what are they?” Mordecai glanced down. “Silverroot.” I waited for more explanation. He continued. “It’s used for infection treatment. The roots are harvested and dried before use.” I stared at him. He had identified it without even crouching down to look properly.

Alright, one last update because I have to always give credit where it’s due. To me it’s a smidge slow but around chapter 70 it really starts to pick up! Definitely worth it & just give it a shot! Great book so far.

Hello everyone ...️ First, a massive thank you for your patience, and an even bigger apology for disappearing for so long. I've read your comments, and I completely understand the frustration. Waiting days for an update isn’t fair, and I’m genuinely sorry for leaving you hanging. Life offline became a lot, and I needed some time away to get back into the right headspace and find my way back to this story. I know some of you wondered if I had abandoned the book—I promise, I haven’t. ...️ Your love, patience, and even your complaints mean more to me than you realize. Thank you for still being here. I’m finally back, and I can’t wait to continue this journey with you all! But I also have exams coming up soon, so please bear with me if updates aren’t as frequent for a little while. Thank you all so much!...️

ROGUE

ROGUE

I guess that didn't really help, perhaps if he had a face, I would be able to remember who the hell he was but he was faceless and his voice didn't ring any bells either. "Why don't I remember you?" I asked with tears in my eyes. I was such a mess and I don't even know why I was so emotional. "I am here because you do remember me. You may not remember the face or where you know me from, but you do remember me as someone important in your life." Kyros sighed. "And what do you mean you were my 'protector' when I was a child?" "You Alpha isn't like a normal Alpha, it's far more powerful than that and I think even you have come to realize this fact. The reason for that is because you are the dau

The Twins He Never Knew

The Twins He Never Knew

Slowly, the Father-Root stopped writhing and began to reach toward her. "The Root isn't a battery," Nora whispered, looking up at the Keeper. "It’s a Memory. And right now, it remembers being a part of the Earth. It wants to protect us. But it needs the Respiration to give it the range." The Keeper looked at the ceiling, where the first cracks from the approaching moonlet’s gravity were starting to spider-web across the ice. He looked at Nora’s amber glow—the light of the Davis future—and then at Kael’s scarred, weary face.

THE BILLIONAIRE’S SECOND CHANCE BETRAYAL

the soldier asked. "No " June said. She stood up with her moms help. She looked at the root. It was covered in pulsing flowers. They were the flowers that had been bleeding in the mud. "The monsters and the business owners and the gods... They all fought over the surface.. They forgot what was at the center of the world." The red root pulled the ship down. It slammed the ship into the dirt like a broken toy. As the ship broke the energy inside it was eaten by the root.

Marked by the enemy alpha

“Two more fled. One spoke of something they call the Deep Root.” Marwen sat slowly on the circle’s stone rim, her bones cracking with the movement. “The Deep Root,” she echoed. “I prayed I would never hear that name again.” “What is it?” Aria pressed. “Some kind of god?” Marwen shook her head. “No. The gods feared it. It is older than wolves, older than humans. A thing that sleeps beneath the veins of the earth.” Kael scoffed. “You’re talking in riddles, Elder.”
