Married to the cold CEO

Married to the cold CEO

“That’s not an answer.” “No,” he said. “It’s the truth.” She stepped closer. “Then say it. Say whether you doubt me.” For the first time, something cracked in his composure. Not anger. Not suspicion. Conflict. “Trust isn’t a switch,” Damian said quietly. “It’s a structure. Built over time. Tested under pressure.” Elena’s chest tightened. “And right now?” “Right now,” he said, “it’s being attacked.” She laughed once, sharp and humorless. “So I’m collateral damage.”

The Billionaire’s Secret Wife

The Billionaire’s Secret Wife

And whoever controlled trusted voices— Could guide humanity without ever issuing an order. The machine continued its silent observation. The simulations kept running. The models kept improving. And the Guardian quietly prepared the next experiment. Not about information. Not about markets. But about influence itself. Because the system had discovered the most powerful variable of all. Not money. Not technology. Not politics. But trust. And the machine had just begun learning how to use it.

Don't Eat Me, Mister Cold

Don't Eat Me, Mister Cold

“How could I be suspicious just because Amber was late? I always believe in my wife.” While stroking the shoulder of the woman beside him, Adam stared intently at Sebastian. “I think you should remember this. Trust is not only about honesty, but also about your belief in how much your partner loves you and how seriously you love her. I always believe that Amber's love is only for me." Hearing that firm statement, Sebastian and Amber spontaneously exchanged glances. After reading the same amusement, they both laughed. "What is so funny? Was what I said wrong?” Adam blinked questioningly.

Panic Room

Panic Room

I shrugged my shoulders, leaning back in my chair, resting my feet on Lucifer's desk, and ignoring how he glared at me for atrociously disrespecting his property. "It's called building trust. People are much more willing to give information when they believe they can trust you. Plus, it makes it all the more fun to watch them cry and beg you to stop whatever you're doing when they believe you have a heart." I mused, picking at invisible lint in my shirt. "You want to know what I think?" Gideon adds. "Not really," I answered, rolling my eyes and earning a grunt of disapproval from Lucifer.

TRIST

TRIST

In those moments Ynaria suddenly burst into tears, because what she knew about the restless and constantly troubled souls did not work. Ynaria closes her eyes tightly in the hope that the souls will disappear behind her. Feel the edge of her tears and the trembling of her lips. From its dilation, it has completely weakened causing it to fall down sitting on the tiles. Her feeling returned to normal. Although he did not fail, there was still the fear in his chest that the ghosts might touch him again at any time. TRIST was snatching documents when a cold object grabbed his shoulder, causing him to stop. Trist didn't even see the fear, he just sighed, at the same time as he closed his eyes. He

To Make You Come Back To Me

To Make You Come Back To Me

I could even see some becoming annoyed at what Paulo Bennett’s showing. “Trust,” he spat. “Trust is the first thing needed for a better relationship—love, work, camaraderie, everything. Trust is the foundation of every fucking hell of a relationship out there.” He smiled a little too intimidatingly. “You see, we got you because we trust that you could help us, this company, to achieve our highest goal, to achieve our long-term vision.” The whole room went quiet. Everyone’s eyes are directed at Paulo Bennett.

He Came Back Running

He Came Back Running

"Something that works at the level where they are actually vulnerable." "Which is," I said. "Trust," he said. "What they have is built on it. Everything they've survived.... the investigation, the scandal, the wedding, the hospital, they've survived it because they trust each other. Completely. In the specific way that people trust each other when they've been tested enough times that the testing itself has become evidence." He looked at me. "That's the vulnerability. Not Alex's body. Not Maya's reputation. The trust between them."

While I like it so far, it's difficult not to notice that AI is being used for a great deal of the story. It's painfully obvious because "person does thing with the quality of a blah blah blah that's decided something and rearranged themselves around it" That sentence structure is used ad nauseum

This is how you tell a story! I do pray it stays this way as I failed to look and see it was ongoing as I usually don’t read ongoing books because updates are not substantial but baby…!!!! This book thus far is a great read and can’t wait until it’s completed.

The Omega Luna's Revenge

The Omega Luna's Revenge

“The sadness. Is it the real kind or is it the kind people perform?” I thought about the question with the seriousness it deserved. “I think it is the real kind,” I said. “Fifty years of pursuing something that turned out to be the wrong thing. The cost of recognising that is real regardless of what you are built from.” Anya absorbed this. “Does the real kind of sadness mean she can be trusted?” she asked. “No,” I said. “Not on its own. Trust is demonstrated through behaviour over time. The sadness just means she is genuinely reckoning with something rather than performing reckoning.”

His Rejected Luna Remembers Nothing

His Rejected Luna Remembers Nothing

“The ones who voted against. They are watching. Not as a threat. As accountability. They are going to be paying attention to how this goes and their attention is not a bad thing. Their attention is what makes the framework real.” He looked at me. “I know,” he said. “Good,” I said. I put out my hand. He looked at it. Then shook it. I went back to the car. He walked into the territory. I watched him go for a moment. Then I drove back. The drive took forty minutes and I spent it thinking about the specific mechanics of trust. About how it was built and what it required and why the building of it was always slower than the breaking of it and why that asymmetry was not a design flaw but the actua

The Billionaire's Deaf Bride

The Billionaire's Deaf Bride

The kind that was not passivity but the active willingness to give a problem the time it needed, to resist the pressure to reach a conclusion before the evidence supported it, to sit with uncertainty without either collapsing into it or forcing a premature resolution. Trust, built carefully and then given fully. Not the naive trust of someone who hadn't learned that it could be violated, but the calibrated trust of someone who had learned to distinguish between what warranted it and what didn't and had committed to the warrant when they found it. These were not abstract virtues. They were specific practices, developed over specific experiences, expressible in specific daily behaviors. A chil
