I turned to grab my basket full of bags of seeds when I saw a limo pass by us as they slammed on their brakes and came to a halt at the end of my property. "Shawn. Take Adaline inside." I yelled nervously turning to Shawn. Shawn nodded and walked in to the house with a giggling Adaline. ~Jackson The limo had come to pick me up at school. I was done for the semester and graduation was this weekend. But instead of celebrating I was now headed home to go to my Dads funeral.

Instead, she was heading toward the outskirts of town, where a cluster of luxury hotel estates was located. “Hotels? What are you planning, Nadia?” I thought, gripping the steering wheel tightly. As I continued to follow her, my phone rang, snapping me out of my thoughts. Annoyed, I glanced at the caller ID and saw it was my secretary. “What now?” I groaned, picking up the call. “Mr. Max, where are you?” her voice came through the line, calm but urgent. “Lunch is over, and the board of directors from Sinclair Corporation have been waiting for you. The meeting was scheduled for twenty minutes ago.”

It was a text from an unknown number. I opened it, my hands trembling. It was a picture. A picture of me, standing in front of Eavon's car, the very same night Orion died. My face was a mask of shock and terror, and in the background, a woman with a dog was pointing at me, her mouth open in a scream. "We're having that wedding right away." She agreed. "You get back to work. Katherine and I will handle everything. Just remember to show up during the ceremony." He left, and Diana talked to me about a lot of things, from the time to the venue. She then took me to Gilbert's childhood room. There was a room right beside that was filled with the prizes Gilbert won. Everything was pristine. Obviously, this place was maintained on the regular. "Gilbert cares about these the most, so I clean them up myself every week. He loves to be number one in anything. Sometimes I wonder if I should've made him study anything but science.
