Chapter Twenty-Six Alpha Lir POV "Move it up," I say, the command cutting through the air like a blade. "Forty-eight hours. The Grand Selection happens Thursday." The High Council representative, a gray-haired wolf named Harken who served my father, blinks in genuine shock. His mind had come out of its panicked state. “Is there any chance that the selection made by the government system could be redacted and a selection made again?” he enquired. “I think everyone was expecting Prince Sebastian’s marriage partner to be female.” Camilla’s jaw was tight when she replied.

Kelvin smirked, and declared, "A man's most precious asset is his time! Let the selection begin!" Immediately, a dozen young, glamorous women entered the room. Each was stunning and dressed to impress. Typically, in these "selection" parties, each heir would bring a few women for the group to choose from. With a mischievous grin, Kelvin rested his chin on his hand and said, "This time, the quality is top-notch. All of them are under twenty-three, fair-skinned, beautiful, and have long legs. I've even brought two of the best from my own company. They both just turned eighteen! As the host, according to tradition, I'll let you pick first!"
