The killer is a Shadow.” I stated with unequalled shock. Shadows had no shadows in their human form but when they wanted to stay hidden, it was all they were– Shadows.

Of course, the shadow picked the squeaky voice to point out such an annoying thing. “I’m two minutes behind time, so except there’s a fucking stick up your ass, that doesn't count as late” I retorted as I eased into my seat on my end of the confessional. It was just then I realized that I was on the priest’s side of it, and the shadow was on the confessor’s side—made sense since he/she seemed to have so much to hide that they weren't even comfortable using their own voice. “Order of business, Kai’s weakness” The shadow’s voice had itched to a deeper one to show that things had gotten serious.
