I stepped away, my vision blurring against the hot burn of tears, but his laughter stuck behind me like a shadow.

"I don't even understand this realm that you speak of, and you are already taking me with stopping that man from taking what's naturally his? That's too big of a task. Marcellus hates me, and he is ashamed of me, I don't think I can fight for him not knowing if he was going to willingly going to feed me to the wolves." She smiled. "There are four realms; The moon realm, The blood realm, the gray realm and the forgotten realm. Millennials ago, we used to all live together, but we were at a bridge of war when a blood treaty caused us to separate. The barriers separating the realm was bound by a witch. The moon realm is for the werewolves, the blood realm; the vampires; the gray realm; witches.

“What the hell was that?” “The breach,” the Guardian said simply. “When the shard fused with your soul, it created a seal that held the other side at bay. When you removed it, the seal was broken. Even before you left, the shadows in our realm had intensified but we've been able to keep them at bay and prevent things from escalating. And now we have rifts.” Leaning back on his couch, fatigue washing over his face, he sighs, “Who knows what else will come? The human realm is collapsing, so is our realm but at a more obvious level.”
