Chapter 1 The apartment smelled like sin — thick Alpha musk, sweet omega slick, and the heavy weight of betrayal I hadn’t even committed yet. I stood frozen in the hallway, one hand still on the doorknob I’d quietly turned, my curvy body trembling. Through the narrow gap, I could see everything. My best friend Leah on her knees like she was worshipping, her lips stretched wide around Kai’s massive cock. The same Kai whose scent had haunted my dreams for years. Full of bath steam and little footprints. Bianna came into the kitchen behind me and picked a grape from the bowl on the island. “They were so happy, though.” I stared at the glass wall behind the sink. The yard was getting darker now. The little lake behind the house sat still as ever, like the world hadn’t just tried to stab me with a coincidence sharpened to surgical precision. “Yeah,” I said. “And, by the way...” Bianna tossed the grape into her mouth, far too casual. “Your sister’s fiancé looks like the twins.”

This Sienna girl is too cheery for my liking. "I know Liam sister right?" She asks curiously. I could understand her underlying question. She's trying to say I am Liam sister and that I should back off. Everyone in the town knows Liam and I are not blood-related and she has the guts to say the word 'sister' which I hate the most. "Uhm yes, I am Liam sister, so I am sorry to say this but you're not the candidate for my brother's wife so if you'll excuse me," I said pushing them apart and walk ahead fuming. The nerve of her.

She softly says. I sigh. “It’s okay.” I say with a small smile. “Just don’t let that happen again.” >>> When we get back home, I go upstairs to my room, leaving Halsey to my mom. My phone starts vibrating. Dean: I’m sorry about your sister. Me: Why are you talking to me? It’s not like she’s dead. Dean: It seems like you’re always pushing me away, even when I try to help. Me: Maybe because I don’t need your help.

He makes distance between himself and his sister when he catches her moving her arm to hit him rather than folding her clothes clumsily. "I'm sharing stuff with you, idiot. Act like a supportive sibling and listen to me." She huffs out, throwing a T-shirt to her brother's face. "This shit stinks." Killian rather says, scrunching his nose in disgust. Having seen his sister throwing her clothes into the suitcase rather than folding them properly, he gets up from the bed and goes around her. "Go away. I don't need your help. You can't even listen to me." Andrea complains, making her brother chuckle.

Ezekiel's eyes widened in shock, and Rebecca quickly stepped between us. With an aggrieved tone, she said, "Maisie, if you don't want to, that's fine. Don't make things harder for Ezekiel. I'll go to the hospital right now and end the pregnancy!" Her tone was so determined that Ezekiel immediately wrapped his arms around her waist. However, the look he gave me was cold enough to send chills down my spine. "Maisie Shaffer, Rebecca is your sister. Do you really have to push her this far?!"

Screw what her sister said, she wasn’t going to let her sister keep running everything in her life. As she walked out of the complex and onto the sidewalk that lined the street that led to the main part of town, Leena thought about her sister. The two resembled each other in some ways. They both had blonde hair and full lips, but their appearance was different in many ways as well. Leena had big blue round eyes and was short. Her sister was tall and had almond-shaped green eyes.

There was no answer. I turned to look at the first girl I saw, "hey have you seen my sister- Sarah anywhere?" I wondered, knowing that I didn't know who she was so there was a high chance she didn't know who I was. "She's still getting her makeup done over there." She pointed at a group of women and I realised they were trying to work on her hair and face at the same time. "Thank you," I smiled at her and went to meet my sister. "Sarah," I stood in front of her, "I'm pretty sure you don't understand what the definition of a small wedding is." I couldn't help but laugh, looking over the guests one more time.
