Kayo tackles Rowan so hard they both go down in a pile of tails and books and pure joy. We stand in the center of it all, six shadows stretching long across the plaza, while the sky above us rearranges the stars into one new constellation: A blackbird carrying a burning sun, wrapped in coyote tracks, circled by nine fox tails, framed by dragon wings and an open book. Permanent. Real. Ours. Later, when the sun finally rises (real sun this time, golden and gentle), the Sky King approaches alone. No crown. No armor. Just an old man in simple gray robes, eyes the color of distant thunder.

He said angrily, "Red Flaming Cage." Whoosh! The red flames covered the sky and sun like huge waves. The red flames that spread out swept back like wild waves. They swept back in all directions like folding a quilt. A huge fireball appeared in the air and covered Athena.

My breath caught. Nothing Spiro had said prepared me. Not really. Beyond the barrier lay a wasteland scorched with ash. The sky was a colour I had never seen, dark bronze near the horizon and bruised red higher up, as if sunset had burned into the heavens and never fully gone out. The ground stretched wide and broken, black in some places, grey in others, cracked by veins of dull red heat far beneath the surface.

said Alice, looking at her. "Wings with two colors, this statue also has two different colors. Alice is right, I think the cover of this book was inspired by the carving of these wings!" mumbled Xander who had just realized the book they had read. But he didn't read the whole thing, only parts of it. "Then, do you think that the author of that book is also from this house?" Tristan mumbled who had glimpsed the blood-red cover of the book they had read last night.

The next morning, as Theo sat down for his homeschooling session with Teacher Mike and Mama Hazel, his mind was buzzing with curiosity and questions. With a sparkle in his eyes, Theo looked up at Teacher Mike and asked, "Why is the sky blue, Teacher Mike?" Teacher Mike smiled at Theo's inquisitive nature and began to explain, "Well, Theo, the sky appears blue because of the way sunlight interacts with the Earth's atmosphere. When sunlight reaches the Earth, it is made up of different colors, like red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. The blue light from the sun is scattered in all directions by the gases and particles in the atmosphere, making the sky above us look blue."

The cover of the third book was a silent declaration of victory. Where the previous ones had carried dark and uncertain tones, this one displayed a watercolor in golds and deep blues—colors that evoked sunrises over the ocean, promises kept, and horizons that had finally revealed themselves within reach. The title, engraved in handwritten letters like an intimate confession, was simple and revolutionary: “To Live.”

The sky stretched wide and endless, but it was no longer the familiar blue that grounded the world in something stable, something known. It was red. Not just red, but bruised. Swirling with deep shades of crimson and black, like the sky itself had been wounded and left to bleed across the horizon. And the sun… My breath caught. “The sun…” I whispered, barely recognizing my own voice. It was rising. But not from the East. From the West. A slow, deliberate ascent, like it had always belonged there, like the world had simply been waiting for the moment it would finally correct itself.

Back to the front cover. Kenneth gave me this book as a present. For drawing purposes, I know it's a sketchpad with white blank papers. Just ordinary... Yet now, I'm witnessing with my own two eyes how the plain abstract cover erased its colors, transforming into something red with cursive design at the center. Written in thick italic letters, THE BOOK OF STRINGS wrote itself as if there's an invisible hand with golden ink writing them. If I'm in my right state of mind, I would have screamed, tuck my tails, and bolt to ask for help. But I did nothing of those...

She tosses it down onto the table and sits on the edge of the futon. “So, I’m guessing you want to know about that bright red flame in the sky?” She says, looking up at me. “Uh yeah, how did you—” “Everyone was freaking out about it, I figured you probably were too,” she shrugs. “Do you know what it was?” I ask and she nods. “Yes, I do, but you aren’t going to like it,” she mutters, opening up the book. “That’s partly what I wanted to add to the book. I didn’t remember until I saw it the other day.”

The roads themselves can hardly be called roads anymore such most of them are gone, leaving giant gaps. "This is the outside," the package asks, shielding her eyes as she looks at the sky. "Where's the sun?" "It's behind the clouds of poison," I say, pulling Rebecca up and out before putting the sewer cover back. "Oh." "Shit," Rebecca says, turning around. "It has been a while since I was up here. Why the hell is the sky red?" "It's the fumes from the chimeras' spaceships. For the last 20 years, they've been leaking some sort of toxic fumes. Why do you think we need these?"
