How the Tables Turn

How the Tables Turn

Didn’t call him out. But the words lodged themselves in her mind and stayed there like a splinter she couldn’t dig out. You always smell like vanilla and rain. The rest of the day felt… off. She wasn’t wearing perfume. She never wore perfume. The only thing that could be mistaken for a “rain” scent was her shampoo — a brand she’d been using since she was twelve because it reminded her of summer storms on her grandmother’s porch. It wasn’t something she ever mentioned. Not to friends. Not to Colton. Certainly not to Micah.

If I Could Turn Back Time

If I Could Turn Back Time

However, Matilda Sachs did not notice an intriguing smile flash across the corner of Janette Lawson's lips. "Brad Young, from the Young family in Sunset. It's my pleasure to meet President Matilda." "I'm Audrina Young. Hello, sister Matilda Sachs." Ivy Hawthorne became energetic immediately when she heard the voice. She trotted up to Audrina Young, and said excitedly, "Audrina, why didn't you tell me you are here in Bloomington?" "I pestered my brother for a long time before he agreed to bring me here. Why are you here in Bloomington too?"

A Scary Summer Adventure

A Scary Summer Adventure

"Melanie, I heard your dad owns a big factory. You should get us summer jobs there." I trembled as I stared at the group of young women who had cornered me in the restroom. I kept my head down, too scared to respond. "Hey, I'm talking to you! What, are you deaf?" One of them, undeniably beautiful, grew impatient with my silence and shoved me hard. The force knocked me off balance, and I fell backward into the filthy toilet bowl. In an instant, I was covered in filth.

To Turn To You

To Turn To You

She replied On a late spring day in September, the weather was perfect. The sun was sparkling and the sky was a beautiful shade of blue with not a solitary cloud defacing its flawlessness. The string group of four struck up the marriage walk and the little assembling of individuals who were situated on the fashioned iron seats in the wonderful nursery all turned as one, extending their necks to see the lady of the hour. Laura gripped to the arm of her respectable servant as she magnificently advanced down the blossom thronw honorary pathway.

His Pretty Little Pup

His Pretty Little Pup

Then he left me in silence, the lock sliding home behind him. The quiet stretched long, broken only by my own shallow breaths and the sound of my stomach twisting against me. I sat on the edge of my bed until the boards beneath me groaned like they, too, disapproved of my weight. It was Carlene who returned after dusk, the smell of herbs clinging to her cloak. She did not look me in the eyes as she set bundles on the table: sharp sprigs of feverfew, bitter stalks of pennyroyal, dried sage tied with twine. She worked swiftly, fingers deft, as if she had done this a hundred times before.

Never Mine To Love

Never Mine To Love

River's POV. I didn’t want to think. Not tonight. So I did what I always did when my mind got too loud—cranked the music up until it filled every corner of Aunt Lydia’s kitchen. Taylor Swift’s voice blasted through the speakers, singing Cruel Summer like it was written just for me. The beat pulsed through my veins, drowning out thoughts I wasn’t ready to sit with. Aunt Lydia arched an eyebrow as she chopped tomatoes. "You know, when I said help me with dinner, I didn’t expect a full concert."

THE SUMMER I LOST MY "V" CARD

THE SUMMER I LOST MY "V" CARD

She looked up, caught me smiling, and smiled. That was it. That was the moment I was done for. Twenty one years old and this is what my life had become. Locked in my room on the first week of summer, curtains drawn, laptop open, completely feral over a woman I could never have. Dad was at work. Laura was somewhere in the house being loud about it. And Nicole was always the problem.

Timmy said. "Are you done here? If you are, then leave," I calmly said. Jessica's face became pale, then flushed red. "You can't get back at me like this just because I turned you down! Business is business, and you can't force love! I'm never going to throw myself at you just to get some investment funding! I hope you can tell the difference and just sign!" "Nice speech! Really nice!" I said as I clapped slowly. I honestly did not know just how shameless Jessica could be.

Skeletons Of The Marital Closet

Winnie's expression changed. "You, what are you talking about? I can't understand a word you are saying." "Stop pretending. You just had plastic surgery! Look at how high your nose is, the corners of your eyes have been opened, and your lips have been plumped… Yuck, Winnie, you just took Gale's photo and got it done!" Summer said.

It's a good book. But it's too slow burn. So many chapters and still ongoing.... I wish for authornim to find conclusion to end this book. Hopefully a HE together for Shawn and Gale with their twins.

If you haven’t started this book yet, so don’t start at all. I am not saying is bad but it’s so slow and boring. The writer starts perfectly and sadly drag it around a year!!! It hasn’t finished yet. You can skip several chapters with no concern because nothing special is happening.

A Summer Love Worth Cherishing

A Summer Love Worth Cherishing

Evan Shaw was famous for sticking to his principles. He was punctual, followed every rule, and never made exceptions. Yet when it came to going to City Hall to get married to Roxie Foster, he had stood her up eight times. The first time, his former underclassman, Sylvia Young, was returning after eight years abroad, and he had to pick her up from the airport. The second time, Sylvia accidentally burned her finger while cooking. The third time, Sylvia's son got sick. ... This was the eighth time. Once again, Evan didn't show up.
