It was one step closer to something I wanted. “Do you want to learn more?” Trav asked, sensing my interest. “Yes, please.” My voice was filled with a genuine longing. He handed me a worn book, its cover a deep blue, and I clutched it eagerly. “Start with this one. And if you want more, we’ll go to the library.” I beamed, my heart swelling with the thought of diving deeper into something I’d always wanted to understand. It was a start. A step toward learning, to being something more than I was. Maybe even finding my place in the pack, if I stayed.

★Tina's POV★ When Emma left the office I smiled because I was hoping that this is the best opportunity for me to steal the books. So I gives out a brief and joyance smile with my mouth and heart. And I seriously ran to the table to pick up the books. Wow the books really look strange with the way it was being design but although it doesn't look scary. Again I thought of what to do because I was ordered by Minsk that I should bring all the 24 books of chaos.

Her thumb found the crease she’d seen earlier, the page that had already begun to split from the binding. The first line was as she remembered: If you’re reading this, it means I’ve run out of time.

Garrett The clearing is exactly as I remembered from my scouting trip yesterday. Secluded, peaceful, with a small stream running along one edge. I've set up blankets, cushions, and most importantly—a stack of books. Iris stops when she sees it, hand flying to her mouth. "You did all this?" Her voice is soft with wonder. "I wanted it to be special." I guide her to the blankets. "And I found something I thought you'd like." I hand her the top book. It's old, leather-bound, with gilt lettering. "Advanced Theories in Shield Construction and Consciousness-Based Magical Architecture."

Stay put.” His words stung like thorns, I hated the thought of not seeing him, but I understood. “The Living Book…” I whispered, my voice faltering with uncertainty. “How do we even take it? He always seems to have it near. Like it’s an extension of him.” “You’ll need to study his routine,” Zevarion said. “Watch him. Be sure of where he keeps it. The day I give the signal, take the book and meet me at the western border of the pack.”

Austin decided to join Ezra and the others outside as he knew that Dahlia would have much more to say to Walter after finally reuniting with one another after 20 years. He had many things to say to Walter as well, but he could always do it later. Vincent suddenly broke the silence. "Come on, Mr. Lockwood. Stop pretending to be busy." Austin turned around and saw that Vincent stood up to snatch away Ezra's book. He never expected that there was another book tucked inside the book that Vincent had just taken away. And the cover of the book… was a rather enticing image. Ezra started to panic as he put away the book and glared at Vincent. "You brat! Have some respect for your elders!"
