The Thirteenth Tale Novels & Stories

That is everything. Winter closed her eyes. The gold flowers pulsed, and the watcher's attention wrapped around her, warm and soft. The story was not over. The story was just beginning. End of Chapter 134

The room froze. Nobody moved. Nobody breathed. Because suddenly...... everything changed. Every assumption. Every theory. Every suspect. All of it. Then the voice spoke one final sentence. A sentence that made every person in the chamber look at one another. A sentence that changed the direction of the entire story. "If you want the truth..." "Find the Thirteen Families." Silence. Then the light vanished. The symbols faded. The chamber returned to darkness. The message ended. And nobody spoke. Because they all understood the same thing.

I again made my way inside the library and sat behind my desk waiting for this important secret. Thomas waved his hands and an old leather bound book fell on my desk. It opened on its own and I wasted no time reading the faded black lettering inside. The first page told of a way to neutralize a winter faerie’s magic. I looked up surprised at Thomas who was grinning from ear to ear. He made the book disappear again and with his blue eyes twinkling said,” Now you know what to do my king.”

She took the fallen paper plane from the table and all the students were staring at her, anticipating how she'll react. "Good morning class, I am Mrs McElwain's substitute until she comes back from her maternal leave," She calmly said. The students quietly came back to their seats and stared at the auburn-haired woman in front. "I am Miranda Thorne. You may call me Ms Thorne. Now, can someone tell me what your last lesson was about?" One student raised her hand, Miranda nodded, giving the student permission to stand. “We always have Mondays as storytelling, Ms Thorne," Another student raised a hand.

Ariel Marie P.O.V: A week later... It's been a week, and they are still rude and mean to me. Just yesterday in our room. They took out all my underwear and hung it up on the flagpole. I had to go to the store to buy all new underwear. So, I went to the mall to Victoria's Secret and got white, red, and black panties. They are sexier than my old ones. I got thongs. So, no panties now. So, I am going bare ass. So, I am getting my stuff ready for school. Today is our first day of class. I am in my English Lite class. I can't wait to go there to study and learn more about how the writers felt as they wrote.

The initial shock of the revelation had subsided, replaced by a quiet understanding, a profound sense of connection to the young woman whose heart now beat within her own chest. Chaos, sensing her quiet contemplation, reached out and gently took her hand. His touch was a silent affirmation of their shared grief, an unspoken acknowledgment of the profound connection they now shared. “What was she like?” Florence asked softly with curiosity. “Theresa… she was a whirlwind,” Chaos began, his voice thick with emotion. “She was a dancer. Ballet.” Florence nodded her head as she listened intently.

said Ava in a taunting tone. " That's not the point, girls shouldn't travel alone. They should always be in packs or at least a duo. " countered Ava. "What the hell do you mean? " asked Mandy, sounding stunned. "Haven't you watched or read Harry Potter Mandy?" inquired Tori. "How is that related? " asked Mandy. " Hermione Granger went to the library alone and got stupefied," said Ava. "Katie bell went to the restroom alone and got cursed," added Tori.

ISABELLE’S POV I flip the page of the book with the help of my left hand. The name of the book which I am currently reading is “The tales of Ash Ville”. It is a nice book and it includes the horror stories of the town. It is a fictional book but I like it and has captured my attention. I found this in the library a few weeks back and I thought to read it. Today I saw it in the books which I had not read so I decided to read this one.

At least far more interesting than the story I heard yesterday at the antique auction, is this one, I thought. I became uneasy when he described how two werewolves broke their fated mate promise and unleashed a terrible calamity. The narrative was too visceral and realistic. Every time I hear the story, it seems to tighten my heart, so I don't want to listen to it anymore. It felt odd, as though I had also lived through the same narrative. She continued, "And it all began with the Grimoire." "Grimoire?" I asked, intrigued. This Grimoire seemed to be at the center of all the odd occurrences.
