The door opened and the vampire king walked back in again. "Is everything alright?" he asked, his tone almost gentle. I didn't answer, instead turning my head to look out the window. He came closer to me, his hand reaching out to touch my forehead. I flinched away from his touch, but he persisted. "You're still feverish," he said, concern etched on his face. "I'll have the doctor come back and check on you again." I wanted to scream at him to leave me alone, but I knew that it would only make things worse for me. So, I kept my mouth shut and let him do as he pleased, seething with anger and resentment.

I have not changed my opinion of him or any of the other vampires that reside in this location. They are cold-blooded killers of the worst kind... They do not act in a humanitarian manner, and they do not place any importance whatsoever on the life of any people. They are under the notion that they are in power, but in reality, he was just a crown prince who had a lot of... could it be family issues? issues to deal with.

Cassius’ POV ‘Get the car ready, Brutus.’ A ‘yes, sir’ soon follows my command. Count Dracula glances up to me with loathing shining brightly in his dark eyes. He attempts to pull his hand out of my grasp, but I decide to hold it in my hand a little longer in a show of who holds more power. It is no secret to the vampire community that Dracula covets my place as the Vampire King and I have no doubt that he would challenge me if he thought he stood an iota of a chance against me.

Kane’s lips are on my neck. I run my fingers through his damp hair and press him against me. Despite the awful memories I have of those other two vampires sinking their fangs into me, I want him to bite me. I want to satisfy him in every way possible, and I don’t think he will ever be truly satiated from sex if he doesn’t have my blood as well. But the Vampire King pulls away. His voice is a strained whisper as he continues to thrust inside of me while he gives an explanation. “Not yet, baby,” he says. “You’re still healing.”

I couldn’t say that I wasn’t; I was indeed concerned about the fact that a vampire was in the Werewolf Kingdom. One who is extremely close to Drake, to my surprise. Moreover, this vampire was none other than the infamous Vampire King Garon. If I may admit, I was actually surprised Drake managed to get on his good side so well. I want to tell him to put them up like some sort of law enforcer, but I don’t think he would even try to take me seriously. As though to prove that, he steps close to me until we’re almost a foot away from each other. His proximity is what makes me speak. “Who are you?” I demand, holding up a hand to tell him to back off and stay in his spot. “What are you doing to me and my daughter? Why are you stalking us?” “I’m not doing that, I’m merely observing,” he states simply. When he sees that I’m not responding to what he’s saying, he lowers his gaze and bows to me. “I’m Dimitri, the Vampire King.”

Father says simply. “And?” I ask tightly. “And she was not here.” A muscle jumps in Father’s jaw. “It was almost like he felt it. Asked to see her room. One sniff at her clothes, he knew who she had been with.” “Who?” Colin rubs the bridge of his nose and exhales again. Slow. Heavy. Then his eyes meet mine. “Their king. Maximus Valencia,” he says. "Wait..what. They have a king?" "Apparently they do" father continues “He is… a pureblood. Said to be the most powerful vampire alive. Some say he can kill without even raising a hand. Was born with… abilities. Powers. Others tremble in his presence.”

The tears she'd forced out hung awkwardly on her lashes. "Clara, get up. Thank your sister for her blessing." Father sighed in relief. "Th-thank you, sister." Clara bounced out happily. "Girls grow up so fast, hard to keep them around." Father joked, but when he turned and saw my cold face, he looked guilty. "Rowena, the only unmated heirs left from the ruling clans are the vampire lord Thorne and the elf prince Eldrin." "I think the elves aren't a bad pick. Their looks and status are way above the vampires."

his arms circled my waist as I breathed the last word. "Then stay" he voice was husky with tenderness, his chin resting on my head as he pulled me closer into his chest. My back against his torso. "The vampires king is a very dark creature. If he finds out about you, he'll use you against me. This war has been brewing for hundreds of centuries, none of us can afford to have weakness. So before we attack, I need you to drink this" I pulled out a small vile of purple liquid. He took It from me with a confused frown.

Is he for real? "What kind of monster are you?" The old man smirks. "Well, maybe before I snatch your life from you, maybe you have the right to know what kind of monster is going to kill you. I'm Voger Hrren, the King of Vampires. I was the husband of the famous hybrid That's how you think you know as well. If you came from the underworld, then maybe you know her by now. I was a monster who only drink blood of all of the creature."
