Pada Tahun 2019 sebuah bencana melanda seluruh Dunia, dimana manusia yang terpilih membangkitkan diri mereka sehingga mendapatkan kekuatan. Gate atau gerbang aneh bermunculan, tanpa disadari berisikan begitu banyak monster. maka setiap negara mengumpulkan orang-orang yang terlahir kembali untuk memburu para monster dan dinamakan Hunter. Orang-orang yang membangkitkan kekuatan, tidak bergantung kepada Keluarga atau Gen. maka dalam hal seseorang dapat membangkitkan kekuatan itu, mereka adalah orang-orang yang sangat beruntung. Tidak ada yang tau bagaimana cara kerja pembangkitan tersebut, karena kebangkitan itu terjadi secara tiba-tiba. Banyak para peneliti mencoba mencari darimana asal kebangkitan kekuatan itu dan cara kerja tubuh agar terbangkit-nya suatu kekuatan. Tetapi semua itu tidak bisa ditemukan sama sekali oleh semua peneliti. Maka dalam hal ini, dibandingkan mencari asala-usul kekuatan yang terbangkitkan itu, lebih baik mereka mencari cara untuk memperkuat orang-orang yang telah mengalami kebangkitan tersebut. Perjalanan Ini dikhususkan bagi seorang pria bernama Kim-Ryu, dia ingin menjadi seorang Hunter untuk melindungi adiknya serta mengubah hidup mereka. Keinginannya terkabul ketika dia mendapatkan sebuah [System], agar keinginannya benar-benar menjadi kenyataan, dia harus menyelesaikan tugas-tugas yang diberikan oleh [System].
