She fell to her knees, her breath ragged, her body trembling.
For a moment, silence filled the cavern, broken only by her labored gasps. She looked up at me, her lilac eyes dimming, her defiance replaced with something resembling fear. “You… you can’t stop it,” she whispered, her voice barely audible. “The child… the darkness… it’s… inevitable…”
Her body slumped forward, lifeless. Andromeda, the witch who had wrought so much destruction and pain, died like any mortal. There was no dramatic end, no explosion of power - just a hollow, lifeless shell crumpling to the ground.
