The car pulled onto a narrow dirt track, miles from any paved road. The engine idled. Both guards climbed out, shifted into wolves in a blur of fur and muscle, and disappeared into the woods without looking back.

She picked up a small, hand-carved mahogany bird—a toy Killian had made for her when she was a child. "The friction is the point," she whispered, echoing her grandmother’s words. The Year Two ended with the Earth becoming the Narrative Hub of the galaxy. The Vance-Vanderwall legacy was no longer a family secret; it was the first chapter in a universal book that was finally being written by the people, for the people.

Being able to explore my characters through their own points of view was an eye opening experience, and I hoped you loved tuning into Dalton, Kendra, and Jake's thoughts just as much as the lead's, Hollis and Whitney's. Despite this book taking five months to write, a month less than two of my other novels, "Not All Who Wander Are Lost" is by far my longest book, nearing 600 pages. I couldn't avoid it since there was so much I wanted to cover, and there are no regrets.
