The Day I Stopped Being His Luna

The Day I Stopped Being His Luna

A woman at the check-in desk looked from my passport to the scarf at my throat and asked, with the careful politeness people use when they sense trouble but do not want to invite it closer, “Do you have a destination in mind, ma’am?” I lifted my eyes to the departure board and chose the first southern flight that felt far enough away to matter. “Willowmere.” By the time she slid the boarding pass toward me, my hand was shaking badly enough that I had to steady it against the counter before I could take it. I made it onto the plane on pain and pride alone. When it lifted through the cloud cover, Silverpine disappeared beneath me without asking anything more of me. Kane received the dissolutio

Last Flight Home

Last Flight Home

" I stayed at the hospital for two more days. Long enough to confirm that her body was no longer in danger after the miscarriage and that the medication temporarily stabilized her emotions. Then, calmly, I blocked everything related to Clara. Then, I bought a one-way ticket to Northspire. As I boarded the plane, I remembered five years ago, when I clutched another one-way ticket and flew without hesitation to Northwood City–the city where she was. Back then, I believed love could overcome anything. Now I was holding another one-way ticket, flying south to a place where she was not .

Tempting Hot Neighbor

Tempting Hot Neighbor

She realized that she had been holding onto the past, onto the memories of her and Gage. When she finished the book, Nicole felt a sense of peace wash over her. She felt like she had finally understood something that she had been trying to figure out for so long. And as she stood up, her hand instinctively went to her belly, where a new life was growing. The airport announcer's voice boomed through the speakers, echoing off the walls of the terminal. "Final boarding call for Flight 212 to Paris. All passengers, please board the aircraft at this time."

Flight of the cardinal

Flight of the cardinal

My heart raced, and I paled; they were coming this way. “Please, Otis, I don’t understand! I—” “Listen to me! You are Cressida Cardinal, and you are a magic wielder. The people invading Cardinal City are not your allies. If they find you here, you will die! Now run!” I could feel hot tears streaming down my face, as the explosion shattered the library wall. The sound was deafening, and I could see huge chunks of stone flying in every direction, hitting the shelves and the books, making them fall. The pages of books floated down and burned as the broken oil lamps fed the fire, filling the air with smoke, and making it difficult to breathe. I had to cover my mouth and nose with a piece of clot

The Black Raven's Heart

The Black Raven's Heart

Flynn sheepishly grinned, trying to change his friend’s mind. “No, you’re staying here.” Hyde firmly announced. “But-“ Flynn wasn’t able to finish his sentence when Hyde patted his shoulder and moved slowly towards him. His serious expression sent creeps down to Flynn’s body. “I need you to do something here…” Flynn’s expression changed and nodded. “Attention! All passengers for flight number 554 going to Black Crest City…” “It’s already time. I’d better go now.” Hyde hastily reached for his luggage and prepared the ticket and passport. He bid his friend goodbye before proceeding to the departure area.

The CEO's Ex-Wife Gets Revenge

The CEO's Ex-Wife Gets Revenge

“But right now, all I know is that things are messy, confusing, and…maybe a little thrilling.” The plane lurched as it took off, Flora pressing her forehead against the cool window. Below, the city shrunk into a miniature grid of streets and buildings. As the plane ascended into the clouds, a single thought echoed in her mind – this wasn’t the end of her story with Damien Hayes. It was just the beginning of a very interesting complication indeed.

Entangled Sin

Entangled Sin

Rose felt a little disoriented, probably because the brandy was beginning to show it's effect. “It must have been a mistake. Reschedule please...” Rose almost stated in a panic. “We can't do that miss. You'll have to board the next plane that goes to France...” “And, when does the next plane leave for France?,” Rose quickly intercepted her speech feeling her heart pounding a little. The thought of someone who had cancelled her flight continued to cross her mind. She knew Pamela won't have been behind all of this so her mind only went to someone in particular. Someone whose mind could become cynical and she had never realized this until last night. His eyes continued to administer that look o

The Billionaire's Dangerous Claim

The Billionaire's Dangerous Claim

However, somewhere in the back of my mind, Calhoun's voice still echoed, almost vividly clear. "Safe journey, Lovie..." Those simple three words had something tugging at me deeply. Something I wasn't ready to name or think about too much. The boarding announcement crackled through the lounge speakers, soft but unmistakable. "First-class passengers on Flight 318 to Chicago may now proceed to the gate." I took a slow breath, grabbed my backpack, and headed out of the lounge. The walk to the gate felt longer than it should have been. Maybe because every step pulled me farther from everything I was running from and closer to everything I didn't want to face back home.

Broken Promises

Broken Promises

I sighed wishing they would hurry up and let us board. The flight home wasn't bad, the first class section hardly had anyone in it. I read most of the way home to keep my mind off of Seth and on the Zombie apocalypse. I was obsessed with anything Zombie related. This particular book followed a girl who had been separated from her group and was trying to make her way back. It was actually really good and made the flight go by.

still reading but I'm surprised Ive enjoyed this story as much as I am. I usually dont like whiney female characters, and her anxiety was giving me a headache, but I enjoyed the drama. looking forward to where or how the story ends.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. With the many statements as: "I made a face/frowned/cut my eyes at" – it irked me lol. But very good nonetheless. Kennedy was strong headed but also stubborn, Seth was annoying in some scenes and never thought about anyone else until it was convenient for him.
