the Beta barked out, not breaking contact with his Luna nor stopping whatever he was doing to her arching body on the throne. The warrior trembled with fear. He was already carrying bad news and now this. “T- The g- girl is uh uh uh a- alive, Sir,” he stammered and only when the Luna pushed away the horny wolf away from her by her foot, did she stand up and walk slowly towards the sweating warrior. “Which girl ?” the Luna of the rogues asked while squinting her eyes. “The Alpha’s lover, Luna whom we pushed in the waterfall in the forest.”

"Then I will just have to kill all of you and claim the rogues did it. Tragic losses in a heroic battle." "Six against fifteen?" I said, calculating odds. "We have fought worse." "You have not fought me." Luna's eyes shifted, her wolf rising to the surface. "I am head warrior for a reason. I could kill half of you before you drew blood." "Then let us test that theory." I twisted in my captors' grips, slamming my head backward into one's nose. He released me with a howl. I spun, kicking the other in the chest hard enough to send him sprawling.

“These are from the Blood Moon Pack’s archives. Beta Trent thought they might be useful.” “Thank you,” I replied, offering a small smile as he walked away saying he had to assist and calm down my grumpy mate. Nearby, one of the younger warriors, Lena, gave me a shy grin as she passed me another dusty book. “If anyone can figure this out, it’s you, Luna Jhoanna,” she said with quiet confidence. Her faith in me made my chest ache a little, but it also steeled my resolve. I couldn’t let them down.

Olivia asks with a furrow brow. Artemis shrugs with a huge smile on her face. “Hunter did a mass mind-link asking for volunteers to protect the new Luna and almost three-fourths of our warriors volunteered. After what they saw at the battle and her challenge against the Dark Alpha, they are all devoted to her. Some just showed up without being picked and refuse to leave their Luna.” A sense of pride swelled in me knowing my warriors saw something in their Luna, something special enough to protect her without question. Ciara was stealing the hearts of my men, and she didn’t even know it.

"There is a true Luna in the Storm Pack." The warriors let out a fierce cry. But I knew in my heart It wasn't over yet. Not quite yet.

She gently laid me against a tree trunk, placing my head on her lap for a moment before rising. My heart dropped. I wanted to stop her, but I couldn't move. I watched her face the warriors alone—my brave, strong, beautiful ex-Luna. No. My LUNA. She stood soaked and injured, her hair matted with rain and blood, but her spine never bowed. She didn’t flinch. She didn’t run. She fought. She roared as she struck the first warrior, spun, clawed, kicked like a warrior queen who had nothing left to lose and everything to protect.

“She doesn’t, and I don’t like you doing that.” “Are you going to ignore her history?” “What history? She was perfect. Ladies did not match up to her that’s Luna material.” Ashton scoffed. “Luna material? Perfect? She ran away from the battlefield. A soldier, a warrior sworn to protect the kingdom, ran into a man’s arms and forgot her duty. She left her father to die and didn’t even have the decency to come to his funeral, and you call that Luna material?” “She must have her reasons.” Asher’s tone lowered.

They settled down beside me, their eyes fixed on me as I began to speak. “There once was a warrior, Luna,” I began, my voice steady despite the exhaustion that weighed on me. “She was strong, brave, and beautiful. Her people depended on her, and she never let them down. But there came a time when she was tested, when the enemy tried to tear apart everything she loved. And even though she was afraid, she fought. She fought to protect her pack, to protect the ones she loved, and in the end, she won.” I looked down at them, their eyes bright, their faces filled with awe.

“Some of the rituals require your wolf form. If you can’t shift, you don’t deserve to be Luna. That is why I brought her. Serena will take over.” Darius’s jaw tightened. “You can’t make that decision for me, Mother. I chose Lyra. You don’t get to replace her.” He paused, then a slow, dangerous smirk curved his mouth. “You’ll keep your deal—with both of them. Whoever fucks you better and makes you come harder gets to stay and finish the rituals.” His mother’s face darkened with rage. “You can’t be serious, Darius.” “You can’t back out of a deal, Mother. You made it yourself yesterday.”

Rachel's POV "CLAYTON!" I gasped! I was overwhelmed with so much relief! I felt the tension nearly plummet from my body. Clayton's wolf was a sight to see. He stood tall, his muzzle drenched in Jean's blood. The crimson liquid slowly dripped down his smooth coat, making the deep red in his fur even darker. Hao, Clayton's wolf, looked back to the body of the rogue. Jean's wolf lay lifeless at the base of the tree. I could see blood pour from his neck, soaking into the ground.
