"It's actually the other way around." "You're not going to kill me," Giovanni said with a smirk. Jason shook his head and grabbed a knife from the table. "Giovanni, believe me when I say today is your last day. You crossed the line when you tried to assault my wife."

Skai’s POV An eerie feeling caught up with me. No matter how I pretend not to notice it. I adjusted the scope and peered through the long-range lens, once more searching the sea of faces. My attention landed on the centre of attraction: the customs officers by the water, all stationed at the pier. A man leaned toward a woman with brunette hair, speaking into her ear. It was a rooftop with a direct view of the sea. The fact that Giovanni has everything accurate even in his absence remained a mystery.

The water danced and sparkled in the sunlight, and Gabriella couldn't resist pulling Giovanni close for a kiss. Their lips met in a tender, lingering kiss, the world around them fading away.

Sliding open the large door separating the winter garden from the terrace, Domenico steps out, inviting all others to join him. As we are still standing at the entrance of the winter garden, I can’t see the terrace or the view, nor can I see the whirlpool.
