Whispers of a Broken Heart

Whispers of a Broken Heart

Sophia’s heart raced, her senses on high alert as they ventured further into the warehouse. A faint light appeared in the distance, drawing them toward it. As they approached, they could make out the outline of a figure standing by a table, the glow from a small lamp casting eerie shadows on the walls. “Welcome,” the figure said, their voice distorted by a voice changer. Sophia couldn’t make out any distinguishing features, the person’s face hidden in the shadows. “I see you’ve come alone. Smart, but not smart enough.” Ethan tensed beside her, his hand subtly brushing against the small firearm hidden beneath his jacket. “We’re here. Now show us what you’ve got.”

And somewhere below them all, in the dark wing of the basement, Cassia still whispered. I remember.

Abaddon’s Girl

Abaddon’s Girl

Darkness stretched endlessly, swallowing me whole. It was vast, suffocating, consuming—so deep that I couldn’t tell if I had fallen into hell or if this was some twisted version of heaven. Neither felt welcoming. My body ached, a deep, punishing ache that settled in my bones as I tried to move. Then, the whispers. Hushed voices slithered through the darkness, barely audible but there. *"She's waking up…"* A rush of movement. A presence beside me.

Alpha Nox

Alpha Nox

1391° W Pass through the arch of liquid moonlight, and find the man who carries the stars on his flesh. Tell him you have heard the whispers. Tell him the Darkness is here, with the moon and stars it’s guide. Do not look over your shoulder as you follow him into the night, only ahead. Do not eat or drink anything, and when you meet the Whisperer, no matter how tempting it may be, do not look into his eyes.

Awesome book with a crazy, strong female. Has some typos and inconsistencies but still understandable as has decent grammar. Would be better if nox had shown more of his abilities to be at par with his strong mate

This was the 3rd Jane Doe book I read. Alpha nox is a really good read with a badass female lead. You're a talented author and I can say you've become my favorite author! My heart broke into pieces at some point but intense emotions are what I love the most about your work! Good job, Jane!

HIS POISONOUS POSSESSION

HIS POISONOUS POSSESSION

[The Whisper in the Dark] The darkness was not merely an absence of light; it was a physical weight, pressing against Ivy’s eyes and filling her throat with the taste of ancient dust and sea salt. The heavy grinding of the stone wall sealing shut had echoed like the closing of a tomb, severing the last thread connecting her to the world above. Now, there was only the damp cold of the cellar, the rhythmic crashing of the Atlantic against the cliffs outside, and the ragged, wet breathing of the woman who wanted to kill her.

Bound To The Lycan King

Bound To The Lycan King

Voices folded into each other until they became a single sound threading through the dark behind my eyes. YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE HERE I turned in my sleep, reaching for something solid. WRONG TIMING. The words from the corridor. The voice I hadn't recognised. The one that had no footsteps. YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE HERE YET YET I jolted awake. Sat straight up in the dark, both hands gripping the sheets, chest tight and breathing too fast. The fire had gone completely out. The room was cold. And the whispers were still sitting at the edge of my hearing, fading slowly, like something that had been very close and had only just decided to step back.

Once Upon An Alpha

Once Upon An Alpha

I watched the darkness consume Greta until there was nothing left of her. My eyes began to feel heavy, and I struggled to keep them open. An icy black tendril latched itself around my ankle. I didn’t have the energy to kick it away or fight it. I just let it make its way up my calf. I accidentally let water invade my lungs as I took an involuntary breath. The eerie quietness that had settled after I was done clobbering Greta suddenly disappeared. Thousands and thousands of hissing whispers surrounded me. The tendril hastily relinquished its grasp on me, letting me go.

This story is so good!! The author seems to put time and effort behind their characters!! And while peoples choices can be frustrating, baby beta looking at you, they all make sense with how the story is progressing and what’s happened! Couldn’t recommend this book enough!
Space Cow
I love this book. The author has created a wonderful world with well thought characters that I actually care about. The characters aren't perfect, they each have their own flaws and personalities. Each of them have grown in their own ways.

The Whispers in the Woods

The Whispers in the Woods

It was like I was half awake. As though I was there, but not really. I could feel the jostling and movement, but my head felt so heavy and sore. I could feel myself drifting in and out of nothingness. From the darkness, I heard a howl. It almost seemed to confirm my demise. I tried harder to escape the dark prison I was in. The tiniest shaft of glowing light entered my mind. I tried harder still when I heard another howl, but it seemed to be further away.

ART OF SEDUCTION

ART OF SEDUCTION

Like a faint murmur carried on the wind, temptation whispers to them, offering glimpses of forbidden pleasures and the unknown. For Dr. Claire Holloway, the whispers are not only external but internal, a manifestation of her own suppressed longings. The story matches the title as it delves into the quiet yet persistent calls of desire that both Claire and her enigmatic client, Aiden James, must confront. Their journey is one of exploration, where the whispers of temptation lead them into uncharted territories of the psyche and the heart.
