Aria's PO The publishing house wanted to call my book "Breaking Barriers: The First Female Alpha's Journey." I vetoed that immediately. "This isn't autobiography about overcoming obstacles," I told the editor during our final review. "This is manual about navigating discrimination, building movements, and sustaining yourself while doing both. The title should reflect that practicality, not create heroic narrative that makes fighting seem more romantic than it actually was." We settled on "Leading Through Change: A Female Alpha's Lessons on Merit, Movement, and Sustainable Resistance." It was accurate, comprehensive, and appropriately unglamorous for the hard truths the book contained.

Exactly as I expected. A woman like her wouldn’t trust anyone so easily. I took a small breath and stepped forward, my heart beating faster. About how talent often goes unnoticed simply because it comes from the wrong place, or the wrong gender.”

I let it sit there, letting curiosity build, letting anticipation do its work. “There’s a circle,” I said finally, my voice lowering just enough to make it feel exclusive. “A private one. Very selective.” Her eyes dropped to the folder, then back to me. “Go on.” “A group of women,” I continued, “wives of the most powerful men in the world. But not just wives, women who control their households, their wealth, their influence. Women who aren’t just seen… but respected.” I saw it the moment it hit her. That spark.

“Be real. What are you even doing here? Shouldn't you be home feeding a baby or folding laundry or something?" Amelia turned her eyes on the last speaker, her gaze cold enough to freeze the air. A slow, sharp smile tugged at her lips. "Who decided women don't belong at this table? Who said we all belong at home, feeding babies and changing diapers? If I’m going to write this book like it’s real, then I need to see it all.” Demitri watches me carefully, studying my face. “You do realize most women, in these situations, are only shown the bare minimum?” I tilt my head, feeling curious. “I thought so. I thought the Don or the men running these organizations kept the darkness hidden from their women.”

The thought made her pulse quicken, like she was holding a secret that wasn’t meant to be found. She hesitated only a moment before sitting cross-legged on the floor and flipping the cover open. Inside, in messy handwriting, was a title scrawled across the first page: “Collected Stories — From Women, For Women.” Chloe blinked. The handwriting was feminine, rushed, and almost secretive. She turned the page and read the introduction, scrawled in looping letters:

Another werewolf mate at first sight then rejected?” I giggled. “Don’t knock my rejection novels!” Rose glared at me, but it was without heat. “How come the wolf that gets rejected is either female or gay? Why can’t the female reject the male first?” I asked. She shrugged. “Probably because they’re mostly written by women who’ve experienced rejection in real life, and they write their dreams of becoming powerful.”
