Callie’s heart began to beat faster as she continued asking, "Did my father kill you?"
"Yes." Lucy seemed to be fading away, becoming more translucent. "On this night, sixteen years ago."
"Wait!" Callie needed more answers. "Tell me more. Don’t go!”"
Lucy was gone, leaving no trace. Callie tried to think. She had to get her back. Maybe she could do a séance.
"Hello, Callie mine."
She stilled at the voice she hoped to never hear again. It was that dark raspy crooning voice that had praised, rebuked, and instructed her depending on her mood. She hated that voice. Lilith stepped out of the shadows gloriously terrifying in her demon form.
