I just can't imagine him being disgusted with the way his parents train him how to control people and gave him the permission to be happy while everyone outside of their place is suffering. I can read people way and even though I know that they are telling the truth, I sometimes get hurt which made me hate them and deny what the truth is. And I would do the same if I were him so that would be reasonable.

He was weak and proud and also quite arrogant and he was my greatest nemesis. I didn't like any single thing about him because he was so fake and nothing seemed transparent about him and I trusted nothing about him and that was what insinuated my hatred for him because he didn't know what he was doing or what was wrong either.
