Well, they did try to do that on the first day, why was I even surprised this time. “’Bring in the man.” What? so the man they wanted was there already? They were fast. The door opened and a good-looking man walked in. he instantly reminded me of Nick, were they trying to replace Nick Jones? Those men were going to drive me insane. “This is Nathan White, have a seat son.” The old man said pointing at an empty seat. The tall man with slender legs, suit that looked as if it were made just for him. hair slicked back and looking like a model.

I am still confused. In this newest chapter 329 it’s mentioned that Nick is falling for Lupita but in chapter 26 Lupita is described as a nice old lady. Why would a young man like Nick be interested in an old woman?

Please update the next chapter or chapters soon. It has been almost a week since the last update. I’ve really enjoyed reading this book and I’ve been reading it for a while now. The only thing I haven’t enjoyed is having to wait so long for the next chapter to be updated sometimes. 5-Star by me ...️!!

Best Man, Best Choice

Best Man, Best Choice

"Shame to waste such a thoughtful gift. My groom and I already have our rings. We're good." With everyone watching, I chucked the sapphire ring straight into the champagne tower. Ignoring the murmurs, I took a ring from the ring bearer and slid it onto my new groom's finger. Emmett Everhart—best man turned husband—was just as good-looking as Malcolm, maybe better. Broader, too. We hadn't talked much before, but something about him felt weirdly familiar. He raised an eyebrow, then quietly slid a ring onto my finger. The room exploded with gasps.

A Man Already Gone

A Man Already Gone

The lights were dim, and a man walked in. He went straight for Harriet. "You must be Harriet. Oh, he was right… You are pretty." As he spoke, he reached out and grabbed her wrist. The bottle Harriet was holding clattered to the floor as she struggled weakly, her voice filled with fear. "What are you doing? Let go! Somebody, help!" The man quickly overpowered her, and with a few rough pulls, he lifted her by the waist and marched toward the bedroom. The door slammed shut with a loud bang.

Goodbye, My Love

Goodbye, My Love

Therefore, she had to lift it gently, exposing certain parts to a man's eyes. Although she struggled to get into the bathtub, he had no intention of helping her up. Instead, he observed her every move. With a faint temptation, scratching his heart like a cat's claw. In the pitch-black depths of the eyes, the burning flames grew larger and larger. He walked over and unbuttoned the delicate buttons on his sleeve, then rolled it up a few times, revealing his strong and powerful arms. Manuel belonged to the category of strong men, with no connection to being thin, but he was also not one of those muscular men with bulging muscles all over their bodies at the gym. In short, he had a well-proporti

The Man In The Gray Coat

The Man In The Gray Coat

“The man. The one I told you about—the gray coat. He’s following me, I swear it.” “Elena, relax. You’ve been overworking yourself. Lagos is full of strange men. Maybe he just happens to walk the same routes.” Elena peeked through the bookstore’s glass front. The man hadn’t followed her inside, but she could still see his reflection in the glass: steady, unshaken, waiting. Her stomach sank. She wasn’t imagining it. She was being watched

The Manhunt

The Manhunt

All the things I have done in life were things that only strayed me further away from God, and this must be the punishment he has given to me. I close my eyes. Trying to reflect back when my life was nothing but pleasure. And now I wake up to this. Strange how things just shift into different emotions. One day you're happy, the next day you're ungrateful. I slowly open my eyes, consuming all the courage I have in my body. If I'm going to die, I'm gonna have to die fighting. “You are given a one minute head start. After that, these guys will chase you. And then after two minutes and you're still alive and in one piece, we'll release the surprise,” the man states as the hunters prepare their r

The Man I Once Refused

The Man I Once Refused

Meanwhile, Underground Ryan Ashford had been many things in his life engineer, gentleman, and occasional trouble but he had never been held in a cellar under a burned tavern before. The ropes had tightened during the night. His shoulder ached. His lip was split. His head throbbed. Yet as he sat in the darkness, listening to the distant drip of water, he did something deeply inappropriate for a man in mortal danger. He laughed. A low, painful, utterly exhausted laugh. The guard outside peered in. “Sir? Are you all right?”

The Man Left Behind in His Own Marriage

The Man Left Behind in His Own Marriage

She unwrapped one and fed it to him. I stopped walking. They looked like a family. I looked like the outsider. The sight dragged up an old memory. Years ago, Lucian and I were both hospitalized with pneumonia. My mother and sister stayed by his bed, fussing over every detail. I was left alone in a cold room down the hall. No one noticed when my lips cracked from thirst until a nurse came in and gave me water. That kind of neglect had followed me my whole life. Only after I married Serafina did I learn what it felt like to be cared for. She noticed everything. What I liked. What I avoided. What I needed before I asked. I had believed I was the one person she chose above everyone else.

A MADMAN'S OBSESSION

A MADMAN'S OBSESSION

“Don’t scream. Just...just come here.” Before he could respond, she reached for him, guiding him gently back against the wall as if she were afraid he might collapse. The gesture was awkward and unpolished. Her hands shook as she gripped the handle of the knife. She moved slowly and carefully. As though the smallest mistake might hurt him. Unbeknownst to her, the man barely felt it. Pain like this was familiar. A dull inconvenience at best. In his world, wounds were measured by survival, not sensation. A knife like this was nothing.
