After the Cheating and Thrill-Seeking

After the Cheating and Thrill-Seeking

"Oh please. You wouldn't dare hurt me. If anything happened to this, you'd lose your happiness." Adrian stood frozen, a look of disbelief spreading across his face. Hearing about it was one thing. Watching Lacey cheat with his own eyes—that pain was something no one else could ever truly understand. "Okay, hurry up. Adrian is waiting for me to come back." "Not yet. I'm not done having fun." Adrian had never seen Lacey act so wanton with anyone else. He couldn't bear to watch any longer. He turned and walked away. Overwhelmed, his foot slipped, and he tumbled down the mountainside. Fortunately, his reflexes kicked in, and he grabbed hold of a vine.

The Thrilling Cycling Club

The Thrilling Cycling Club

Unable to contain himself, he dove beneath the water, his hands searching for the last barrier of modesty I had left. But I wasn't going to let him have his way so easily. If there was one thing I'd learned, it was that the thrill of the chase was often sweeter than the prize itself. To fully enjoy this game, I needed to stay in control. Something dark and daring awakened within me, urging me to seize the upper hand. Catching Titus's hands, I pulled him up from beneath the water, pressing him close to me. My lips brushed against his ear as I whispered, my voice dripping with mischief, "Do you want me?"

Read Between The Thighs

He looked down at the dark patch of moisture on my lace pant and let out a soft, mocking huff of air. "Open your legs, Jade," he commanded, but he still didn't touch me. I did it. I eased my thighs apart, the cool air hitting my heated skin making me shiver with desire. He stepped closer, but instead of reaching for me, he opened the book to the page I’d bookmarked. He held it out to me. "Read it." "What?" I whispered, my voice trembling. "Read the highlighted section out loud," he said, his eyes boring into mine. "The part where she performs for him. Read it, or the investment consideration is over and the funding is gone."

Tamed by My Alpha Stepbrother

Tamed by My Alpha Stepbrother

“Come on, Sunny. You can share anything with me. Who among your step-siblings is your crush?” My cheeks flushed red. “N-no one. Stop thinking of anything weird. I treated them as my stepbrothers.” “You don’t have any idea about me.” She laughed. “Sunny. No one can hide anything from me. Something in your eyes told me that you wanted someone, but you cannot do anything about it. Maybe the man is against the idea of you being together.” I sucked in a breath. “What are you?” Thalia shrugged. “I can read body movements. I’m observant. Sometimes, when someone’s mind is open, I can also read it. But that was only super rare.”

Let's Read Her Mind

Let's Read Her Mind

"I've done nothing wrong. I agree to call off the engagement." Mark froze, completely taken aback. Then, a robotic voice echoed in my head, ‘The Thought Sharing feature has now been activated. Please choose who you want to share it with.’ Thought Sharing? The person I picked could hear Alice's thoughts, too? I looked at Mark, still in shock, and calmly touched my face. ‘I choose Mark.’ Right then, Alice's inner voice rang out again, just in time. 'Can you believe it? With just a little trick, Helen has given up on Mark all by herself?'

Recasting Arrows

"—What?" "Why is that? Is something wrong?" I heard Thrille speak yet I remained in my posture and did not have a chance to glance in his direction. I was about to read it but my heart almost jumps out of my chest upon the sudden behavior whom Thrille executed. "Hey, give it back to me." He read the message and I saw how his face felt disgusted. I rolled my eyes before proceeding to snatch it from him. "I did not perceive that this would be the content of this letter, offensive." He was mumbling and his brows met, it pushes me at my curiosity.

Then I brought out a novel to read because it was awkward staring out the window and sipping coffee with a stranger sitting across from me staring at my face from time to time or operating his phone. “How far have you gone?” He asked “How far have I gone with the book?” “Yes,” he said smiling. “I’m still at the prologue,” I responded. “Oh, that’s chill, you seem to like thrillers, this book ‘ Kill for you,’ is an epic thriller, and only true fans of thrillers read it.” “I had no idea, I was just drawn by the book cover, but yeah I love thrillers.” “It’s a good one,” he said and I forced a smile. So he had read it before. “I could read it over and over again, it never gets old.”

When I Hacked the Snow Prince

When I Hacked the Snow Prince

he says closing the door and giving the key to me. "Alright, can we go now?" "Yeah.." he nods and takes my free hands. Then we walk out of the locker room. Everyone still keeps staring at us. I guess it will continue for a few more days. "What were you reading earlier?" I ask him after I finish drinking the last dregs of the chocolate milk. "Darkest Night, it's the second book in a thriller series. I just started reading it today morning after I reached back home. And I already finished 90 pages."

Triple Threat

Triple Threat

She gives herself to me body and soul. I walk into the gym, and I turn the lights on to find Chase already there, he is running on the treadmill, and his eyes are silver grey. I try to link with him, but he’s impenetrable. He’s gone to his dark place, a dark corner in his mind I am not allowed to invade. We both have a dark corner, it is our safe haven, and I am not getting him out there. Both his fangs are out, and he is running faster than humanly possible.

Pertanyaan yang Sering Diajukan

First off, everyone mentions the usual suspects like Gillian Flynn and Stephen King, and for good reason. But I feel like the domestic thriller wave has really left some interesting forensic detail behind, and I’m here for it. A book like 'The Silent Patient' got huge, but I found the mechanics of the therapy sessions and the unreliable narrator more engaging than the final twist itself. It’s less about the shock and more about how the puzzle box is constructed.

Lately I’ve been pulled toward stuff with a slower, more atmospheric dread. 'I’m Thinking of Ending Things' was like that—less action, more psychological unease that just settles in your bones. You keep waiting for the jump scare that never comes, and the suspense is entirely from the internal monologue. It’s not for everyone, but if you want suspense that’s a mood rather than an event, it’s worth a look. My copy still gives me the creeps on the shelf.

One title I rarely see mentioned is 'The Chestnut Man' by Søren Sveistrup. It’s a Danish police procedural, and the cold, bureaucratic investigation against a backdrop of gruesome fairy-tale imagery creates a tension that’s both clinical and deeply unsettling. The pacing is relentless in a very European way, not rushed but steadily tightening the vise. That’s the kind of suspense fix I need sometimes—one that feels methodical and inevitable, not just a series of cheap thrills.
