Blood Arrows Novels & Stories

His hands hovered carefully over the wounds at either side of her stomach, his fingers trembling slightly. His face changed the instant he leaned closer, examining the wound properly. "Wolfsbane." He looked up at me, then back down at her. "These arrows were coated in wolfsbane." My mother's eyes opened fully at that, some fresh alertness cutting through the haze of blood loss. He reached toward one of the wounds.

Bloodless. Instead, we walked straight into a trap as perfectly orchestrated as a spider's web. The first arrow struck the massive oak inches from my head with a solid thunk that reverberated through the night air. Splinters of bark exploded across my cheek, the sharp fragments drawing thin lines of blood. I froze, every instinct in my body flaring to life like struck matches. My enhanced senses exploded outward, cataloging threats, escape routes, the positions of our attackers based on the arrow's trajectory.

Blood, bright and relentless, began to seep from those points, staining their faces with a macabre mask. Their heads had been impaled by the solidified water arrows.

Shadow mocked. “The point is” Denis regained his serious demeanor “you will never run out of arrows. They are magnetized to the frequency emitted by the signal from your bow and will return from any location that is within 5 feet. Let me demonstrate” Denis took the arrows, walked over to the filing cabinet and placed it in the draw and closed it. He moved out of the way “Now press the amber button on the bow” He shouted to Shadow. Shadow pressed the button, the arrows tore through the metal filing cabinet and stuck to the bow.

Then she loaded her bow with the arrow which is now carrying her blood and fired. That arrow hit Asael on his right shoulder. He paused momentarily as the arrow he was stuck with began to burn his flesh. The bad odor of flesh burning began to waft all around, indicating how her blood affected him. "I might not be grandmother, but I do carry her essence combined with my father's in my blood. My blood might not be enough to kill you, but it is enough to hurt you badly" she muttered angrily. Her blood began to spill on the ground from the cut.

His tone left no room for argument. My gaze shifted to the fiery-haired woman. I noticed Emberlyn's brief hesitation, a flicker of doubt crossing her face before she steeled herself with determination. Raising her crossbow, hands steady, she took a deep, hissing breath. Another sharp crack shattered the silence as Emberlyn released the silver arrow, its deadly aim aimed straight for Angelo's head. With a thud, Angelo fell to the ground, his body collapsing onto Nova's, his skin sizzling immediately from the silver arrowhead piercing.

The strings shimmered faintly, spun from threads so fine they could slice through skin. The arrows, laid out beside them, were even more sinister. Each shaft gleamed with a dark metallic sheen, the fletching dyed the color of raven feathers. Their tips were dipped in a deep, glistening violet… a poison so potent it seemed to pulse beneath the light, as if alive. Even from a distance, the air around the case felt heavy… tainted. One look at them, and death no longer seemed like an abstraction, it was there, watching.

The pitch black color muddled with purple glossy shimmer was singing the wails of its precision and power. A harmonious blend of two highly sought-after materials from two distinct advanced civilizations, these arrows are a true representation of what can be achieved when worlds collide. A hybrid unparalleled strength and flexibility. "Gosh!! They look gorgeous…," Creed muttered with awe while examining the arrows. "And they're quite sturdy too!" "Awesome. So, 245 arrows… hmm. If I can use one arrow three times, then it should last me 2-3 hunts," he calculated. His digital watch suddenly rang, breaking his concentration. It was Rolin, confirming the delivery. Creed answered immediately.

The sixth—gods—the sixth punched straight through my arm as I tried to guard her. Each strike burned like molten fire. They were silver arrows laced with wolfsbane. The arrows stopped going for any of my warriors. It suddenly felt like they were missing their shots on purpose. My knees buckled as my flesh burned, the poison already flooding my veins. I still kept her sheltered under me, my arms spread wide even as blood ran hot down my skin. I staggered, forcing myself to keep my body between her and the arrows. My knees nearly buckled, but I locked them tight.

The reddish bark of the longbow began to glow brightly, three circles appeared in front of the longbow, and another three covered the Chief's forearm. "Let's try first the normal one." The smith and a couple of curious warriors had all of their attention on the arrow. The Chief aimed towards a zombie six-armed ape and shot. After going through the circles, the air suddenly accelerated and caught fire. The cry of a dragon resounded on the battlefield when the arrow whistled through the air, but nobody cared. Those arrows were standard to the archers, and one more did not make much of a difference. It left a burnt hole on the ape's chest and ignited the blood tree behind it. The ape didn't car
