Luciano’s car screeched to a halt in front of an abandoned factory. The building had been closed for ages, sitting on a barren street in the forgotten outskirts of the city. As he climbed out of the car, his movements fueled by a volatile mix of anger and urgency, the thick smoke trapped inside spilled out with him. The cigarette gripped between his fingers was still burning, a small, glowing ember in the daylight.
Luca, who was already waiting there, hurried to greet him. Luciano didn’t even acknowledge the greeting; he simply took a long, deep drag of his cigarette and exhaled the smoke along with his question: "Where are they?"
