The Alpha's Regret

The Alpha's Regret

" I looked down. It was a compiled record. Mrs. Carter's own documentation of the engagement histories, contract start and end dates, consultant names, client names. She had organized it chronologically and flagged four entries in red ink down the left margin. Four female consultants. I had found three the night Emily searched his profile on her phone. Mrs. Carter had found four. I read through each entry carefully. The engagement periods were all short. Six weeks. Eight weeks. Three weeks. Five weeks. Each one ending without a completion note, without a testimonial, without any formal record of why the engagement had concluded. Just a start date and an end date and a blank space where the o

The Billionaire's Marriage Investement

The Billionaire's Marriage Investement

“Tell whoever you need to tell. But after that, it goes public. I need to establish our relationship before the next important company event.” Victoria had to stop herself from cringing at the word ‘relationship’. “You could have maybe mentioned this before I signed.” “It was in clause seven.” “Clause seven said the engagement would be made public within a reasonable timeframe.” She countered. Ryder’s eyebrows jumped a fraction. He was surprised she had that memorised. He wondered how many times she had read the contract over. It was good to have a fake wife that’s meticulous. “Forty-eight hours is reasonable.” He replied, trying to control his amusement.

Disturbance Layer

Disturbance Layer

“In draft.” He wrote the second point, pressing hard with the pen. “Second, spatial and temporal boundaries. Such contact must not occur within our shared core living spaces, the Cambridge flat, places we regularly go in London. Frequency and duration must have explicit upper limits, for example once per quarter, no more than twenty-four hours.” He paused, without turning. “This sounds inhumane, doesn't it, like managing radioactive material.” “Like managing something we both know cannot be dismantled, and fear might explode,” I said quietly.

5 Years Later, I Returned With His Heirs

5 Years Later, I Returned With His Heirs

"Mine. Exclusively, pending the six-month review." He looked at me. "That's full control." "That's appropriate for where we actually are." I held his gaze. "They don't know you yet. You've had three visits. I've been their parent for five years." I kept my voice even. "This isn't punishment. This is the reality of the situation." "I understand the reality of the situation," he said quietly. "I created it." Harrison cleared his throat. "The communication provision on page three – the forty-eight-hour response window – is somewhat restrictive for genuine emergencies."

MARRIED TO THE CEO BY CONTRACT

MARRIED TO THE CEO BY CONTRACT

Deliberation. The restructuring group reached out again—not with urgency, but with refinement. A short message. Thoughtful. They had discussed her conditions internally. They hadn’t agreed on everything, but they agreed on enough to keep talking. We’d like to explore a limited engagement, they wrote. Three months. Observation and advisory only. No obligation beyond that. Elara read the message twice. This time, she smiled. Not because the terms were perfect—but because they were considered. She drafted a response slowly. Not to negotiate, but to clarify. She asked questions about boundaries, decision rights, and exit language. She asked what success would look like if nothing visibly changed

Yours by contract

Yours by contract

--- He holds my hand over the table, releasing a smile in my direction. I don't know why, but I don't hear from his mouth a 'later we'll come back and get to know everything, together, more calmly.' I know it's not part of our contract, that we won't pass this way again, and so we have no way to go back, not together. Suddenly reality fell upon me, the fact that our days together are numbered. We have one month on the cruise together, one month or so that our engagement will last. It has already been almost a week, which means that we will only have a few weeks together.

It's Just Business

It's Just Business

It was a warning, not a threat, but it chilled me just the same. “I get it,” I said, my fingers tightening, likely leaving marks on my palms. Reece tapped her screen, confirming the clauses and safeguards. “It’s all written out. Once you sign, everything goes into motion. The engagement announcement will be made in forty-eight hours, and your official move-in will be within the week.” Forty-eight hours. I wanted to scream. But instead, I picked up the pen. This wasn’t forever, just six months. Six months to save my sister.

SUBMITTING TO MY BEST FRIEND'S FIANCÉ

SUBMITTING TO MY BEST FRIEND'S FIANCÉ

Even though our contract forbids me from doing so. I swallow, peering my gaze to the side. There by my pillow lays my marriage agreement. I go over it daily to remind myself of why I’m engaged in the first place and what and what not to do. I also read it to remind myself of the time period of the contract. This engagement is not permanent. Only the two of us are aware that it’s temporary but we’re not allowed to portray such outwardly. We’re supposed to act as if it’s not. It kills me but I can’t say a word. Not when I was fully aware of the terms before signing it. I stare back at the ceiling and close my eyes.

The Broken Angel He Claimed

The Broken Angel He Claimed

Just cold sentences that slapped straight at my dignity. The Second Party is required to appear whenever summoned, under any condition, without refusal. The Second Party is prohibited from forming personal, physical, or emotional relationships with any other individual during the term of this agreement. All physical interactions are exclusive and solely for the satisfaction of the First Party. This agreement remains in effect for a period of three years. I froze. “Three years?” My voice cracked. “You seriously expect me to last that long?” Aaron’s expression didn’t change. “No one forced you to come here, Angela.”

Don’t let the price of the chapters fool you, these are the longest chapters I’ve ever seen. The price is well worth the amount you’re receiving. One of the best books yet, not only does the author do a wonderful job telling the story but also keeps you intrigued the entire time.

Love how this story is written. I have read the entire series and I can say it is a whirlwind of emotions. Alpha Erik is the first of the five book series and it stole my heart from the start. Definitely worth the read! Big chapters too!
