Granted, I’m usually still a little late because the higher-ups love overworking me up there in heaven and let’s be honest, I’m not really the greatest at my job. I'm trying to give Dawn some hope by helping her and giving her advice but the truth is; I don't know if any of us are prepared for Alexander. He became a fallen for a reason, and it was a little...never mind. It pains me just thinking about it. I just hope he eventually gets tired of chasing after her and having me chase after him as well. He's usually the type to get his job done quickly. Killing people with no mercy is what he’s known for in heaven and hell.

“He couldn’t point it out. But he just said that King Titus was strong enough to withstand a couple more people for a Unification like that. It was just out of character for someone so strong to act that way.” “Maybe he was sick,” I said, acting nonchalant as I started getting out. “Yeah, but Linda also told me that King Titus was supposedly one of the strongest Andreyev kings in history. He took over his father who was the strongest Alpha King recorded.” I looked back at her, getting new information about Titus again. Maddie continued. “They said that he was a pureblood, like his father. That’s why they’re stronger than the past kings of Vamos.” I frowned.

Mia: I wound down the glass watching as buildings zoom past, letting the wind blow in my face. I could not wait to be home. To be in Lukas' arms. Dad finally named Axel as his heir and though some were in opposition, the majority had no problem with it, especially after they found out Jade was a gambling addict. Titus said and let out a hearty laugh that filled the bar. “Titus,” I said, arching an eyebrow as I stared at his salt and pepper sideburns. “Do you know a wolf by the name of Maddox?” His eyes widened, and his grip tightened around Preston’s hand so much that the skin turned white. “Depends,” Titus said, releasing Preston’s hand and rolling his shoulders back. All the friendliness vanished from him. “My aunt gave me advice tonight, and I wanted to know who he was,” Cillian said and nodded for AP to pour drinks.

It was obvious that Vincenzo was driven only by rage and his quest for vengeance, but with that usually comes the ability to see things more critically than everyone else does. He had a valid point. I had heard the tales of Declan the destroyer; how he had massacred hundreds of upperclassmen, including Manuel and Natalue at their own wedding. He had even dissolved the rulership council, right after beheading Councillor Calhoun, the man who served as chief advisor for many Alphas before him. A man like that obviously had no restraint and he had made sure that he submitted to no one, so there was not a soul who could check his excesses.

Since Alexander had revealed his strength as a semi-Empyrean, Titus had been probing around, searching for experts. He had finally found one, but it turned out to be a greedy one. "Alright, half it is. Help me kill Alexander!" Titus gritted his teeth, relenting.

He had never smiled at me before. “Presenting, His Royal Majesty, King Valerian of Alvannia.” Father entered the palace after the trumpets had been played. I and Valerian entered behind him. Up till this moment, I never knew he named Valerian after himself. The stares I received outside were nothing compared to the stares I received from the crowd of people in the large room as I walked down the carpeted aisle. I could tell by the numbers that their jaws dropped that they were surprised to see me.

Surely- this was my Uncle Caleb, Dad, and Uncle Fred's brother. "That's me. Who do I owe the pleasure to?" I reply, making him chuckle. "Right. Let me introduce myself. The name is Caleb. Caleb Knight, I'm the owner of Knight's Enterprise and the father of Andrew Knight. It's come to my attention that you are the man of the night." he says smiling, extending his arm for me to shake. I shake firmly, making his smile widen. "It's a pleasure, sir," I say, playing it off. Does he really not know we are related? Or could he be trying to pull my leg? Either way, I have a feeling I need to be careful with him.

It ignites a rage within me that I dare not unleash for my own plight. When I shift my focus to his adversary, I understand why he believes that hope is gone. “It required five men to subdue the large one,” Lord Marius informs my father. “He took down three of them. He’s not very talkative, but we suspect he’s one of the alphas—likely from the Midnight Clan. Quite an impressive specimen, wouldn’t you agree?” The larger male embodies the essence of the untamed and rugged mountains from which he must have originated. He stands tall, with a pronounced jawline, and his muscular physique appears as if it has been sculpted from stone.
