I nod, my stomach sinking as I remember Phantom, my on-and-off boyfriend, if you can even call him that. Sometimes we don’t see one another for months.
“Yeah, I have a boyfriend,” I answer, thinking I haven’t even thought of him at all since running into Zion.
He seems to notice the change in my expression and smirks humourlessly. “I don’t know. I think maybe I do want to keep you prisoner until your boyfriend comes and saves you. He’d be able to do that, right? He’s probably one of the Arkan.”
