"I will rule over this area!" Addition declares, voice booming with confidence. I shoot up from my spot, feeling the adrenaline kick in. "Not if I have anything to say about it!" I fire back, standing my ground. Subtraction, always my trusty sidekick, joins hands with me, saying, “We’ll stop Addition together.” Division rolls its eyes, a smug smirk on its face. “This is a waste of time,” it scoffs, gesturing to its minions, Pi and Theta, who are grinning like they’re in on some grand joke.

I replied. “So?” asks this time Ale, clearly annoyed. “Let her speak babe, that’s the only way we will get answers,” Gabe tells her. “On Friday, when I saw him, I recognized it. Your auras were the same. When you guys were sitting next to each other it was there in plain sight; you were one.” There it was once again the fight for power, “then why not tell us?” asks Aria. “At first because Jaxon and Gabe were unaware of our previous interactions.”

"We're all together now and we make a pretty powerful team. I think we'll be alright." We all stared at each other. When we weren't acting like children, we could do some serious damage, and I felt pretty confident that we could defend ourselves if needed. Everyone else must have come to the same conclusion because they shrugged and moved forward, searching for the doctor's house number. Maverick was the last to join them and he shook his head in my direction looking disappointed.

Xcott pressed. “Both,” Leroy admitted reluctantly, his voice soft. “Exactly,” Xcott said, his tone rich with satisfaction. “The combination of both makes the experience more intense.” Leroy was silent for a moment, his mind processing Xcott’s words, before Xcott leaned in closer. “And that's not the only place they can be inserted.” Leroy shuddered involuntarily at the implication. Xcott noticed. His smirk was barely concealed as he gently pulled Leroy to his feet.
