Singto couldn’t help it any longer, so he stood on his tip toes and wrapped his arms tightly around Krist’s neck. However when she is not watching I go to a private place and cry. They say strong men do not cry but for Angela’s sake I agree to be a weakling for her sake I agree that I am not man enough.

“Because you made them strong. And they have each other. They have us. We’ll face whatever comes. Together.” I nod slowly, even as tears slip down my cheeks. Because he’s right — we will face it together. But I wish we didn’t have to at all.

My knees were scraped and bleeding beneath the expensive ivory coat. “Great, just great,” I muttered, limping toward the door. “You better not leave a scar.” I followed him into the silent mansion. Then tears started getting to my eyes. “No.. This is nothing compared to the past” I will not cry.

“Please.” I couldn’t take it anymore. I ran into her arms and collapsed there, holding her tighter than I ever had before, pressing myself into the warmth I had missed every day since I left. She cried. I cried. We clung to each other like the world would end if we let go. “Iris,” she sobbed again. And this time... I could answer. “It’s me. It’s really me.” Her grip tightened, her fingers digging into my back. And we cried harder, together, no longer alone in our sorrow.
