Hidden Magic

Hidden Magic

I need a little help here. The map glows for a moment, points toward the bed, and then goes blank again. I walk over to the bed. I pull back the covers and look under the pillows, but nothing. I go to my knees and look under the bed. Beneath the bed, I see a dark brown and black amulet shining at me, waiting for me to take it home. There is also a set of eyeballs looking at me.

Tales of the Moonlit Grimoire

Tales of the Moonlit Grimoire

His body, which had appeared to be under the control of this mysterious figure, was now back in his hands. "Curse you and your machinations! I won't let you corrupt any more lives. I'll put an end to your reign of terror." Rafe cursed. The man examined a bag of old books he'd brought back from Singapore. It took him a long journey and a long process to find the book's location. "This grimoire, it's the key to eradicating your presence, saving her from a fate she doesn't deserve." "God, I'm exhausted from all this." Rafe whispered with a face that looked really tired as if a lot of heavy loads were on his mind this time.

Fractured

Fractured

Mr Collins instructs after he's finished his angry typing. “Reading what?” I ask. “That,” he points to a book that's on the couch where Theo had been sitting moments before. “What the…” I start to ask, then shake my head, “Right away, Professor Dumbledor,” I snark, picking up the book as he leaves the office. The book looks like a modern school textbook, but the title, ‘The Spark’ has me turning to the first page eagerly to finally get some freaking answers!

Started reading this book two days ago, and damnnnnnn!! It’s such a breath of fresh air NOT knowing what’s going to happen next. I love how original this book is. Sadly, I’m all caught up so far, can’t wait for it to be complete, definitely a book I’d reread many times! <3

I know this has been touched on so I guess I'm just not getting it. I just finished chapter 367 and I don't know if I should expect more (or when). I kinda feel like I'm left hanging with Harper not having all of her bonds together. btw love the book!

Raven's MC Series; Marlowe & Torin -Book One of the series

Raven's MC Series; Marlowe & Torin -Book One of the series

If it wasn’t the Raven’s, I didn’t want to be caught on the street alone. The bikes began roaring by, and as they did, I caught the Raven’s emblem on the back of their kuttes. Stepping out of the shadows and onto the street, I watched as several passed, before one of them peeled off from the pack, slowing down and coming to a stop before me. Cutting the engine and dismounting, Rook pinned me beneath his gaze, growling, "What the hell are you doing out here Marlowe?" I lifted a shoulder in a half-hazard shrug. “Restless,” I replied.

A Marriage of Swords

A Marriage of Swords

Chapter 1: The Crown of Thorns The castle stones remembered the screaming. Makil knew this, the way one knows the taste of old wine or the particular ache of a healed break. The gray granite of the eastern corridor held the echo of it, even now, a decade gone. He paused as he always did at the third arched window overlooking the training yard, his fingers brushing the cold sill where Charles’s blood had once seeped into the mortar, impossible to fully scour away.

My Wife is a Hacker

My Wife is a Hacker

Riddle Sr. Mr. Riddle Sr. looked at the neat answer sheet, startled. There were many questions that he did not know the answer to, but there were a few questions that were obviously answered correctly. The only unusual thing was that there were no calculation steps provided but only answers. After taking a glance, Mr. Riddle Sr. handed the paper to Damien. "You should be able to understand these answers." Damien frowned, not knowing what Mr. Riddle Sr. meant. He took the exam paper and was surprised. His wife also came closer to take a look at the answers, and they both looked at each other, their gazes deepening.

Also, it took WAY TOO LONG to get to the Olympiad and the exam. Like really?!?! Also, no one can be that perfect. Every time you turn around, she is a master of this and that at the tender age of 18. Like, come on! Do better!

I’m only 26% thru this book, and I’m HOOKED!!! There’s a FEW slow places in it, but overall, it has kept me interested so much, that I read every chance I get, and can’t wait to get further into it!!! Definitely worth the time, IMO.

Moonlit Magic

Moonlit Magic

Rita The air in the hidden wing of the library was thick with the scent of aged parchment and something deeper—magic, old and restless. Rita trailed her fingers along the spines of the grimoires, each one humming under her touch like a sleeping beast. "This one," Derek murmured, pulling a heavy tome bound in cracked leather. "It’s been calling to you since we walked in." Rita took it, the moment her skin met the cover, a shudder ran through her.

THE CEO'S ACCIDENTAL CONFESSION: The Lingerie Slip

THE CEO'S ACCIDENTAL CONFESSION: The Lingerie Slip

He casually leaned his broad back against a massive oak tree, crossed his arms, and looked down at her with an infuriatingly handsome smirk. "We aren't lost, sweet Jane," William purred, his blue eyes gleaming. "We're simply on a private detour. And frankly, watching your eyes spark when you're fuming at me is far more entertaining than hunting for laminated pieces of paper." "This is a competition!" Jane squeaked, her face burning. She snatched the clue sheet from his pocket. "Okay, Riddle #3: 'I have a spine, but no bones. I have leaves, but no branches.' It's obviously a book! There’s probably a fake book hidden near the old log cabin!"

I Was Made From What You Couldn’t Let Go

I Was Made From What You Couldn’t Let Go

“You know too much. The details. The name. Most wolves would not speak so freely.” He leaned forward. “I have seen cases like yours before. The binding takes hold fast. This spell might work if you act quickly.” I picked up the book but my hands shook. Something about his handwriting on the note inside the cover looked familiar. Too familiar. “Where did you get this text?” Lorne shrugged. “Old family collection. Passed down quietly. The spell is on the third page. Blood and moonlight. Simple but powerful.” I opened the book slowly. The handwriting on the margin notes matched the note I had found in Elio’s cellar cache. The same slanted letters. The same ink. My stomach turned.

The Top Boy Is My Mate

The Top Boy Is My Mate

Zara The bell rang sharp and shrill above us as Professor Marlin closed his old leather spellbook with a thump that echoed in my chest. Enchanted Histories was over, but my mind barely registered his final words about rune expansions or the rise of Hollow kings. My thoughts were knotted and raw, scraping like stones against each other. I turned towards Talia as she packed up her parchment and quill, her dark braids brushing against her collarbone. “Talia,” I said quietly. “Hey. About that night—”
