Without wasting another second, I hurriedly tore off the brown wrapping paper. What I found inside made my heart stop. It was a brown leather book. My fingers ran over the smooth cover, a strange sense of familiarity came over me. Had I seen this before? My eyes trailed to the bottom left corner, where two initials were engraved in gold. “RT.” The moment I saw those letters, a shiver ran down my spine. RT—Richard Turner. My father. I flipped open the book, my breath hitching when I saw his handwriting. My father’s diary.

Stella–POV I tossed and turned; sleep eluded me. Frustrated, I sat up and made my way to retrieve the diary, hoping to find a way to unlock its secrets. I carefully pulled out the journal and, once again, attempted to open it using a hammer on the small lock. To my dismay, it remained stubbornly shut. Exhausted and defeated, I sank back, only to feel a hot trickle of blood from my nose— a telltale sign of stress. Scrambling to find a tissue box, I heard an unexpected click, and to my surprise, the lock popped open, triggered by a drop of blood.

"You underestimate me. No one is coming for you. Not this time." He slid a journal into the cell, the leather worn out. "Perhaps you should read more of Rachel's diary. She died in this same place."

’’ a voice asked and I turned around to find a little girl pointing at me. Her friend began laughing and I made my way towards them. They were holding a piece of paper as they looked at me. It was the same number of papers that were lined up in the walls of the hallway. I snatched it from their hands without an apology and stood back to read the contents. I literally choked on my saliva as I noticed the familiarity of the writings and words. It was a page from my diary. A page from my diary that Ryan had stolen and run away with.

Then Richard replied provoking her, "Are you a fool? Can't you see that the diary was in my desk?" Krystal replied in a low tone, "Oh! I found your diary on the floor! Who would think it would be yours?" Then Richard said in a cool and boastful manner, "Give it back to me!" As they were quareling, the diary where many leaves of pages had been inserted fell off accidentally on the floor, so both of them bended down to pick it up.

I motion to grab it but obviously, she's had an eye on me the whole time. "Don't touch that", Rachel grunts.

However, when it came to the last page, Harnum felt bad. Harnum continued to open the last page of the diary, because Reno's name was written on the paper. Harnum's feelings became increasingly curious and uncertain. Then, Harnum dared to read it to the end. Harnum's legs were shaking, tears filled his eyelids. His body went limp, he sat on the floor.
