Never: HIS REGRET
I pressed, my tone stern.
He nodded his head, then twisted his lips before lifting his head to meet my gaze.
“It’s dissociative amnesia or selective retrograde amnesia. He will tend to lose traumatic and emotional memories, but in his case, he retains only his mum while forgetting everything else.” He paused, tilted his head for a moment before continuing, “There’s a twist here.”
“What twist?” I asked again, my expression perplexed.
“His case is certainly rare, and I don’t really have any explanation for it,” he chimed, and our gazes remained locked for a while in reflection, mine masked in intense worry.
