I’m Phillip Bryant, the head doctor here at the Mount Hood hospital,” he smiled. “Bryant? Like David or Katherine?” Aurelia asked, eyeing him cautiously. Phillip sighed. “David is my son. And I am so sorry for the part my niece Katherine played in the attack on you and your family’s home. Aurelia nodded, still eyeing him. “Not your fault. I at least like your son,” she shrugged, relaxing.

"I'm on my way." Her office door was open when I got there, and Ms. Stanton was standing beside her desk with an older man I had never seen before. He was tall and gray-haired, and well dressed in a conservative suit that looked expensive without trying to show off. And when he saw me, he smiled warmly and stepped forward. "Ah, you must be Serena Hale," he said, extending his hand. "Gary Winchester. It's a pleasure." I shook his hand with a smile and said, "Nice to meet you, sir."

A petite figure roamed up and down the corridors of the hotel. Just as Phelan left the room, the man in the bed opened his eyes. His eyes were sharp like a hawk. The hidden bodyguard who was then Don Carlton looked at him, wondering whether he should go after her or not, as he cast his eyes on the man in bed. Don Carlton thought for a moment and went forward and knocked on the opened door of the presidential suite. “Come in,” the man in bed said. His voice was as cold as ice. Don man walked into the room and saluted respectfully, “Young Master.”

The ringing sound of the doorbell follows. “Coming!” I get up and head to the door to find out who it is and what the person wants. I can't think of anyone who will be at the door this late at night. “How can I help you?” I question, scanning the unfamiliar figure I meet behind the door. His All-black clothing makes me instantly suspicious of him. “Are you Valery Hale?” The stranger asks back with his hands behind his back. How does he know my name? “Yes. How can I help you?” I ask again, still trying to decode his intentions.
