Anger and rage welled up inside me… I was in front of her in a flash, plunging my clawed hand into her chest and ripping her heart out. A loud growl vibrated out of my chest, shaking the windows. I coiled my hand, squashing the bloody heart in my hand and tossing it aside. A chill ran down my spine… my anger sated as I looked down at the Omega who died with her eyes wide open. The sound of a heart racing as fast as a speed train reached my ears. I turned and faced the delta before me. He was trembling and I think he had pissed his pants. Pathetic.

She had escaped from the crypt. "He's not dead! He's not dead!" Daphne threw herself onto the coffin, pounding on the lid like a woman possessed, her voice so shredded it was barely human. "Stellan isn't dead! He's not dead! He's not dead! You can't bury him! He's really not dead!" The chapel erupted. Everyone stared at Daphne in shock, then at the coffin, then at each other.

Instead, the system gave me a new notification. 'This body will die in three days, so you may return to your original world then.'

This time made it the eighth. Eight. That’s not too many… right? “Then just die already!” Caden snapped, his voice a final, merciless growl. “If you’re dead, we’ll come collect the pup.”

Her words shook me to my core, but I quickly composed myself, saying coldly, "Alaric, I've already died once. Just pretend I'm truly dead and let us both move on." "No!" He jerked his head up, his voice tinged with desperation. "Amara, I can't! Even if you hate me, despise me—hit me, curse me, anything—but don't tell me you're really gone. I'm begging you, please come back?"

he asks, his question catching me off guard. When I take a moment to look at him carefully, I see hurt in his eyes and I instantly feel like a chump for my shitty attitude.
