Chapter 10 Anger surges through me, hot and fast. I'm back to holding the table. If not, I might lunge at him, claw his eyes out. That would probably get me sacked though, and a harassment lawsuit as well. Instead, I try to be dignified about it. "How-" "Dare me?" That what you were going to say,?" The smirk has returned on his face as he backs away from me. "I dare because I can."

My blood boiled a his words and I looked up at him sharply, fury igniting inside me as I took in Hector’s condition again. I saw how pale he was getting and how much blood he was losing because of Thorin and I felt an intense urge to snap his neck for hurting my husband. But Instead of resorting to violence again, i decided to confront him. “What the hell is wrong with you?” I snapped, my voice shaking with anger. “Why would you do that? Why would you attack him like that? You may not like him but He’s still your Alpha! This is treason!” Thorin didn’t even look the least bit guilty or worried.

It’s more of a sigh and an ‘I’m fed up’ passive-aggressive remark. “Don’t make fucking threats or I will be gone as soon as you put me down, wanker. I’m not afraid of you.” It’s a lie, tears biting at my eyes and determination not to show him that’s exactly what I am right now. Lost in the past mentally and everything blurring together insanely. My chest is constricting so much, my lungs are burning with the effort to breathe and I feel like I’m escalating to a point where breath will no longer be possible. My heart ripping through my rib cage as it pounds mercilessly against it. It physically hurts.

Yet they still focused on the task at hand. After about 2 minutes of continuously pummeling her father into the ground, Thrud’s anger was sated. It was hard to believe that the one known as Alexis across the myriad of realms, who was famed for using her brain to solve most of her problems, could become this violent. “You were really heavy handed,” Thor touched his bruised face and said. One of his eyes was blackened entirely, and his lips had several cuts on them. However, his armor lit up as several strange runes engulfed him, and in less than a few seconds, all these wounds disappeared.

Not just angry—he looks murderous. What the fuck is this, then?

The presence of a true apex predator shook everyone there. “Gosh!” Fear still lingered in Stanley, but anger made him reckless. He bent, grabbed a rock, and threw it at Thor the Tiger’s head. When the stone struck Thor the Tiger’s head, his roar intensified, and he smashed the bars again and again, each hit ringing with desperate power. The metal protested with sharp, pained sounds.

The first drag hit my lungs hard, burning in that familiar way that said maybe I’d finally calm the fuck down. I didn’t. I kept smoking, dragging hard and fast like the faster I inhaled, the quicker I’d exhale the anger. But that’s not how it works. Anger isn’t air—it’s glue. It sticks to your ribs, lines your throat, clogs everything up till all you can do is growl and curse and smoke until there’s nothing left but a filthy filter and a filthy mood. “I’m not a fucking ATM,” I muttered to no one. “Not a goddamn piggy bank. I’m not even a son to him anymore, and now he shows up like it’s some Sunday dinner reunion? Miss me with that bullshit.”

I snap and launch at him in anger. As I lunch at him in anger, my eyes burn with an otherworldly fire, reflecting under the sunlight like molten silver. The air crackles with anticipation as I face off against Athan yet again because of Imogen. The thought of Athan taking Imogen away from me fuels my anger and I go all out: Muscles coiled with tension, I unleash a primal roar that echoes through the whole room, a declaration of my unyielding determination.

Alpha Theron’s POV My face flushed with rage as I bolted upright, slamming my fist down on the sturdy wooden table with a resounding crack. The Warrior in front of me visibly flinched. He lowered his head submissively after he had delivered the most outrageous report that I ever heard. My lips thinned as my chest heaved with rapid and shallow breaths. “This is preposterous!” I roared in anger. How could those people easily believe this kind of rumor? Who would even come up with it? My heart burned in anger just at the thought of it.

There, I skidded to a stop, my claws digging into the dirt. With a savage growl, I lunged at a large tree, my claws ripping through the bark like it was paper. Pieces of wood flew everywhere as I struck again and again, each swipe releasing a bit more of the storm inside me. You’re holding back, Thorin taunted. “I’m not,” I growled aloud. Yes, you are. You’re angry, but you’re still thinking about control. Stop thinking. I snarled, digging my claws into the earth as if it could somehow absorb the chaos inside me.
