Too Late Colleen Hoover Summary Mga Nobela at Kwento

Half a month had passed since I last saw him, so I already missed him dearly. However, as soon as I arrived at the airport, I ran into Quinton and Zachary. They both had sullen expressions, but their faces lit up immediately when they saw me. "Mom! I knew you would come! Are those tarts for me? Thank you for these!" Zachary eagerly snatched the box from my hand. Quinton said coldly, "I told you the deadline was before three o'clock. Do you know what time it is right now? You should learn a thing or two from Lynn when it comes to timeliness!"

After several moments Colleen stood up, kissed me on the top of my head and said, "Girls, would you mind going into the house for a little bit? I need to talk to Uncle Bobby." A quick squeeze from the girls then they hopped, skipped and jumped into the house as Colleen replaced Meghan on the glider next to me. She hooked her arm through mine and pulled me closer until we were leaning against each other. She took the papers out of my hands, looked them over then set them aside. We sat quietly before she spoke.

He snapped the locks on the trailer and leaned back against the metal gate bars to wait to see who was looking for him. Cash and Trevor came around the rear end of the trailer, bickering like siblings. “It ain’t my problem,” Cash said. “I’m just glad to see that sumbitch gone.” “Yeah, but he ain’t gonna be happy she is. She—” “Who’s gone?” Colby asked. They both stopped. Trevor gave Cash an uneasy look. “Jared Connelly. He dropped out this morning.”

Cole, the brother of the man Pete, who also had just lost his daughter, had been arrested. The chairman’s eyes fixed on the screen as Mr. Cole spoke. If Mr. Cole began to talk about Pete’s escape fifteen years ago, or if he said anything that tied the old events to the Cruz family, they were finished. The chairman watched Mr. Cole carefully, waiting for any slip. "Honey…" Eleanor started, but the chairman raised his hand and cut her off. Eleanor drew in a breath and pressed her lips together. She watched the television too, folding her hands in her lap.

Sean waited until dark to fly out to Donal's house. The dull ache in his heart kept getting worse. Or something like that. *** Colleen didn't say much to Donal as he drove her out to his house. She had all of her files with her, intending to work on the case, but she would be happy to see Meg and spend some time with her. This would be the first time they had gotten together since the wedding. Colleen had missed her friend. Donal pulled into a two-car garage. He took her suitcase out of the trunk, then opened the door to the house for her. "I'll put your case in your room and leave you two alone."

Aaron drove overnight from the next city. When he saw how pale and exhausted I looked, he asked me directly, "Evan Tully, are you really going to marry someone like this?" My first instinct was to defend her. Then I realized I could not come up with even one decent reason. That night, Vanessa finally arrived at the county hospital. She did not go upstairs to see my mother first. Instead, she called me from downstairs, sounding tired. "Come down. I don't want to be surrounded by your relatives and interrogated."

We ran the closing program. It was nearly right. Had been nearly right for several days now, approaching the threshold where nearly became actually without quite crossing it, and I had learned over five years that nearly right had its own timeline and could not be forced across the threshold by will alone. You had to keep playing and trust that the crossing would happen when it happened. Vivian was not there.

“You really didn’t know?” “No, Cornell. Jean is sick, her chemo must be affecting her mind. If I had known who those girls really were, or that one of them was pregnant... you know I’m not that kind of person; I’m not like our mother.” Colleen looked away and delicately wiped a tear. “I’m a grandmother who never even got to hold her only grandson. I don’t even know where they buried him, Edgar won’t tell me.”

Truly, it was an incredibly generous gift. As William and Sheila glanced at each other, Dad struck me as almost laughable, like a bad joke. At that moment, Dad's phone rang. It was the housekeeper, Mary Lane. "Mr. Wade, Ms. Wade hasn't come home for several days. Should we…" "If she wants to come back, fine. If she dies out there, even better," Dad snapped, absentmindedly rubbing the bone sculpture. "If she calls, tell her this. Unless she kneels down and apologizes to Sheila, she can forget about stepping into this house again."

My mother had gone radio silent. And Jessica… God, Jessica. I turned up the volume just as a new segment flashed across the screen. Her I*******m account had vanished, her parents had issued a public apology. Coleen was finally free. I leaned back against the couch, rubbing a hand over my face. My inbox was overflowing with messages, congratulations, sympathy, offers from journalists wanting exclusives. I ignored them all. There was only one message that mattered. Coleen: They cancelled the hearing. It’s over, Hayden. It’s really over.
