Ariel felt a shiver run down her spine as she gazed out at the mist- shrouded landscape. Her eyes wandered to the guest house. From her window, she could see the guest house nestled at the far end of the property. It was quiet, but not empty. She could sense that someone was inside, and she knew that someone was Tori. Tori was still here, something about her made Ariel's skin prickle. It wasn't just that she knew Connel. It was the way she looked at him, like she had owned him, like she still did.

Tori giggled, making a turn down another road. "You have to take me there sometime." I grinned back at her, confused by the hidden emotion flickering in her eyes. "Of course." Tori grinned, the hidden emotion buried deep. We turned down a different road and headed a little deeper into the forest. The Towns square was still visible as Tori pulled into a strange looking cul de sac. A absolutely huge house sat at the end, with a driveway big enough to fit at least six cars. It was at least three stories high, painted the color of a clear sky. Huge windows adorned the house, making it look like a modern version of a farmhouse.

"This is Alder, home of Pack Liem." We continued our walk through the town in silence. I noted once again the soothing calm within me in Tor's presence. Clad in a simple gray-colored indoor dress, Tori guided her newly arrived guests to her chamber's receiving area. Sitting at the head chair at the center, the two followed suit by sitting at both of her sides. Crossing her legs, Tori asked the regal-looking Marchioness. "How is life as the House Zoliel's head?" "You know I can't be truly calmed unless the investigation stops, Lady Victoria." The wariness in her voice reflected on her face as she fidgeted with her handkerchief.

“I am Loci, and this is Jorge. We're from the only Don Veridia know, and the only one there ever will be, first of his name, Don Alessandro Torricelli.” Dino's men scoffed. I sighed. “This…” I looked around, at the dusted beams, at the colored shards of light, at the house that was barely holding itself together. “…this isn’t Moretti. It isn’t Torricelli. This place—this is Elysium.” The word slipped out of me like instinct. I didn’t even know where it came from, but it sounded right. One of Dino’s men frowned, scratching his neck. “Ely…what?”

"I am Heros, one of the supervisors here. It is my pleasure to guide you during your stay." I nodded in acknowledgment, grateful for his hospitality. Terielle and Eloise exchanged excited glances, clearly eager to explore our temporary home. "Follow me," Heros said, leading us through the bustling hallways with practiced ease. As we walked, he shared tidbits of information about Toron, its history, and its purpose as a center for enlightenment and training for celestial beings. Finally, we arrived at a set of intricately carved doors adorned with ancient symbols. Heros gestured towards them with a flourish. "This will be your residence for the next two weeks," he announced.

“I’ll set the table,'' Tori declared and started making her way out of the now crowded kitchen. Eric’s house was not very big. It was a three bedroomed bungalow. It was nothing compared to the sheer size of the house that we grew up with but Gloria had insisted on it. She wanted it to always feel cosy and warm and they had accomplished exactly that. I loved it there. “Aren’t you going to say hi to Caleb darling?” Melissa asked Tori who was halfway out of the door. “Hi Caleb!” she said without even turning to look at me.
