She straightens slightly, smoothing her hands over her thighs like she’s about to walk into an interview. “Relax,” I murmur low enough for only her to hear as I pass. “It’s just Diva.” She gives me a look that clearly says exactly. I open the door. Diva stands there in a tailored cream suit, heels clicking once as she steps forward. Her perfume enters before she does. Her hair is sleek, not a strand out of place.

I said, narrowing my eyes, “if you tell me the real reason you want to go, maybe I’ll consider it.” She smiled nervously. “What reason? I just want to have fun! Jeez, what are you thinking?” “Nothing,” I said, pretending to believe her. She suddenly nudged me, motioning toward the door. Standing there were The DIVAS including Kathryn. Kathryn wore a mini black leather skirt with a silky crop top jacket that revealed her flat stomach. Her sky blue sneakers and heavy makeup screamed attention.
