He couldn't shake off the memory of Rose's painful expression as his mother's words cut her down. "Why can't Mother accept her?" Alexander wondered. "Why does she have to be so cruel?" I always thought that you being dominant and controlling isn't toxic and you know because I was raised in such an environment where oppressing and controlling your wife's even a single action was considered ok." It was just that materialistic thing that we both had in between us. He is my father, I'm his daughter that's it. Both of our feelings were mutual and I'm not upset like any other as my life was completely different from theirs, and so was their story. So, anyway let's not compare everyone's life. If anyone notices me transparently they can say I grew up in a toxic parenting. And that's not wrong too. I did grow up in that setting which was empowered by my dad.
