Pogo waddled out of the lake, muddy water pouring off his lower half, to pursue his snacks. It was slow going. Frog speed wasn’t much more than strolling for us. We were following behind, which took less effort as Pogo flattened everything in his path. Small trees were knocked over, large trees were pushed to a precarious angle. The frogmen sang and warbled as they led Pogo deeper into the jungle. We had the Elder and his guards with us. Joshaya had sobered up, somewhat, and spent most of the time blinking hard and muttering to himself.

“It goes like this. The scorpion was on his way back from a relative’s burial when he got to a river and realized that the log of wood he’d used in crossing previously, had been washed away by the rushing tide of the river. He stood in place, hopeless for several hours with no way to cross, before a frog finally passed by. Immediately, he started begging the frog to carry him across, but the frog refused with all manner of excuses. First, he said he wasn’t a strong swimmer and wouldn’t be able to carry the scorpion across. When the scorpion continued begging, the frog said he was in a hurry and the extra weight would slow him down. But the scorpion begged harder. He cried while promising all

Bridge, Layla, and I were in pain from laughing so hard at them trying to mimic whatever their phrase was. Frankie stood in front of us wiggling his body like a fish. Elijah and the others were calling out words like .. fish.. wiggle … gone fishing … worm.. and bait. Frankie rolled his eyes and moved to the next word. This time he started jumping around like a rabbit. Then the guys yelled … frog…. Uhh rabbit! … oh oh your a whale! … no he’s a cat right? …. Frankie got frustrated. “No mother fuckers! I am hopping. This ….” He started doing his weird wiggling move again .. “is a bell. It’s a bell ringing… this .. is HOPPING. Bell. Hop. Bellhop. Get it??”

"I'm sorry but can you help me with my zipper?" Jasper hesitated for a moment, then stood up to assist her. Suddenly, Imogen saw an elderly lady at the door, swiftly running off with her group of little frogs. "What are you doing? Put down my little frogs! Those are mine!" Just as Jasper raised his hand, the woman in front of him disappeared in a flash. "Hey, your frog head!" Jasper called out, watching her in her cumbersome outfit darting out, leaving the frog head behind. He quickly picked it up and chased after her.
