Tears rolled down my cheeks, I was not only scared for myself that I had handed my heart over to this man, I was also scared for his people, I needed to know what inspired such hatred to murder his people. “You want to know the truth? I will tell you.” He strolled from the throne towards me, “The world I told that was built by me and my two friends, these people are the descendants. We made a blood covenant that whichever one of us dies first, our power should be given to the next who was alive to maintain the balance of the park for greater good. Their fathers saw us as a threat and opted to end our lives. For each one they killed, their powers were absorbed into my blood, the same blood I

Worse of all…Kaelric prayed he hadn’t taken Elira against her will. It would cross the fine line between his dignified nature and the brutality of kings like Gryphon and Lord Orc who took innocent maidens as prey without their consent. The curtains to the inner room were unshed and the chief priestess appeared with the gallipot. “My king,” she bowed and presented the drops of the child’s blood to him. He gave a nod and she proceeded with the ritual, heating the blood over a flame. Despite the scorching heat from boiling, the chief priestess raised the gallipot heavenward with her bare hands and muttered ancient spells.

IRIS I followed Jonathan up the staircase, keeping my hands folded tightly in front of my dress. My right palm was still warm, tingling from where King Tristan had touched me. When his fingers had gripped mine, a strange heat had shot straight up my arm, making my heart race and my wolf whimper in shock. The look in his silver eyes had shifted instantly, from cold indifference to something intense and overwhelming and he had just simply released my hand with a terrifying, effortless calm that unnerved me so much.

His face was full of confusion as he asked, "Babe, what did I even do wrong?" I tried to get him to stand up, but Betty stopped me. She pulled me to the couch and raised her chin at Trent. "Did you cheat on her?" Trent's eyes widened, almost popping out of his head. "No way! If I had that much time, I'd rather code a few more lines!" Aggrieved, he shuffled on his knees over to me and tried to plead his case. Before he could say anything, however, he noticed the bandages on my hand.

How had he gotten so much blood on his clothes? “Athena.” Tristan called, and my gaze snapped back to him, “Are you okay?” He asked, and I turned back to stare at the man bathed in blood again, but he was nowhere to be found. I looked around frantically, and scanned the sea of people in black outfits, getting ready to leave, but he had just… disappeared. “Are you okay?” Tristan asked once more, and I turned to him. “I just… I just saw… a man bathed in blood.” I told him, with fear in my heart. Who was that? Why was he here at Earnshaw's burial? I was sure I had seen someone bathed in blood.

The Blood Moon hung high in the sky, casting its malevolent red glow over the kingdom, a harbinger of the chaos that was about to unfold. Sienna stood on the edge of the palace courtyard, her heart pounding in her chest. Her silver blood, still fresh on her hands from the confrontation with Ryder, glistened in the dim light. It was strange, the sensation of her blood coursing through her body felt different now, as if every drop pulsed with a strange, ancient energy. The prophecy, the weight of it, gnawed at her mind, urging her to take action.

Could this be one of their plans? Whatever it is, I need to do something about Tristian staying there with Seraphine and having guilt over something that wasn't his fault before it was too late. I just couldn't let him suffer, and I couldn't let that bitch win this time. I knew the right thing to speed up her recovery, and that was my blood. My blood was something I had kept hidden from everyone, it was a power that’d heal anything.

This sensation stirred a passionate flame within us, a flame ignited by our boundless curiosity and a burning desire to decode the enigmas that had always connected us. As we methodically examined the myriad of ancient scrolls and painstakingly penned manuscripts that lay before us, each new piece of information caused our eyes to widen in astonishment. Words, penned many centuries prior, seemed to weave a narrative that hinted at the depth of our bond, a connection that had endured the relentless march of time and continued to draw us closer. Celeste, her voice a gentle whisper, conveyed her amazement and trepidation, her emotions a tumultuous blend of exhilaration and apprehension. Graspin

Blood. Dread settled over me like a heavy shroud. The once serene garden now bore the threatening mark of violence. I knelt down, scrutinizing the crimson stain on the ground. Fear coiled in my stomach, and the silence of the garden seemed to echo with the ominous weight of the unknown. Zoey's disappearance had already been a challenging situation, but the presence of blood escalated the situation to a new level of urgency. Every worst-case scenario raced through my mind. I couldn't lose her. Not after all she had been through.

TRISTAN All I see is red. Blood red. Red trees. Red road. Red clouds. Red sky. He’s going to pay. The fingers that touched her will be snapped off. The tongue that tried to kiss her, yanked out. The mouth that bit her, broken. And then, oh then, I’ll rip his head off. I barely remember shifting. Just an urgent shame, a need to hide this violence from her, and then I was running through the woods in a killing frenzy.
