“Emmett, can you help charge Kyle for me?” I got up and put on a fake smile. “Sure!” Walking out and around the counter, I pulled up the register and Kyle, the guy in question, handed me a paper. Giving a quick overview of the options and services that he needed on his 2018 Chevy Silverado, he swiped his card and I handed him a tote bag. “If you need to shift, you’re welcome to head out the back. There is a private shifting area and you can use the tote bag to carry your clothes.” I flashed another fake smile. “We will call you when your truck is ready but it should only be around three to four hours.”

I said. "Y'all a long way from New York." Adam said, pointing at the plates on the truck. "Yeah. We're on a cross country road trip." Damian responded. "That's awesome. You have the perfect truck for it too. Is that a 90s model," Adam asked, pointing to the truck. "No. It's an 85, completely refurbished." Damian said. "Damn man. I would love to have one of these." Adam said. "I see y'all are sleeping in the back of the truck," Susan said to me.

♧ Ryn’s pov ♧ Ace had been driving for at least ten minutes and we were finally nearing the road to the dock. But what surprised us were the two shipping trucks ahead of us. I looked at the dashboard and read 12:30 on the clock. "It's early, why are they on the road, didn't Leila say at one?" I asked confused as Ace speeds on the gas. Ace shrugs. "It doesn't matter, at least we caught up to them."
