6. The video on the camera’s viewfinder dissolved into snowy static. Remembering how it had looped before I picked it up, I frantically searched for its power button. Found it and switched it off before the person in the video could again start whispering excitedly about something changing his life.

The cameras had been disabled, and I had no idea who could have done it. One of the officers approached me, looking puzzled. "Sir, can you tell me if your CCTV cameras are always turned off?" he asked. I shook my head, feeling a sense of unease. "No, they're not," I said. "I don't know what's going on." The officer nodded, making a note on his pad. "We'll check the footage anyway," he said. "Maybe we can find something suspicious." As the officer checked the CCTV monitor, I watched in horror as the footage revealed a shocking truth. The camera had been turned off, but not before it had captured some disturbing images.

“Chubby, shut the cameras in the hall.” [ Understood. ]

"Sit down, shut up; I'll get to you two later. First, the Beta and I have things to talk about." As I make my way further into the room, the camera in the corner follows my movements reminding me it's there. Looking around the tiny space, I can't deny the serious need for an upgrade; crossing the small space with two long strides, my hand reaches up to rip the security camera from the wall as exposed wires spark momentarily. Throwing it at the wall, I watch as it shatters into a million pieces.

Back to the main business at hand, the camera was still turned on but the population has decreased compared to when I entered. "We need to talk Racheal" I had the intention to turn off the camera, but with Kelvin still on, I decided to leave it on. The moment the notification popped up indicating he had left, I turned it off immediately. "Do you realize what you've just done, Mr Noah Gordon?"

Anybody's natural reaction, almost like an instinct. The next thing I know the whip cracks against the floor beside me and my flinch isn't missed, Julians and Remi's chuckles are proof. "Turn on the camera, Remi." * I wasn't planning on leaving this chapter on a cliffhanger I swear it kind of just happened...So umm yeah this chapter is a little gruesome but I hope you enjoy it anyway! The photographer makes suggestions that I can’t hear because my attention is still focused on Kell. He waves and winks at me as if noticing my attention. But I refuse to let him see my consternation and pretend to ignore him. I’m so engrossed by his presence that I don’t notice when the photography assistant steps in front of me with a mirror in her hand and aims it in my direction. She says something, but all I can see are her lips moving before a vision is begins to overtake me. I blink my eyes and try to look away to stave off the vision, but it’s no use. It’s too late. My body freezes, and the world begins to fade until I’m sucked into my own personal hell. There’s nothing that I can do
