She glanced at me as soon as we stood before the Principal's door. "Don't. Don't hold back. " she twisted the knob. A bright white light soon engulfed me as I found myself in the Principal's office. The tension there was so obvious and I immediately felt nauseated. Mr. Dallas, the principal raised his specs above his eyes for a second and I could tell, he never knew I existed before now. I veered around. Marlowe and Julia stood against the wall directly facing the principal. "Wha–Marlowe? " I said inaudibly as I stared at Mrs. Ruffalo. She seemed to have that victorious smirk on her face.

Mira smirked and continued chopping her vegetables. “You are issuing an arrest? What is wrong with you?” I reduced my tone. “Harry, I grew soft. I forgot about the pains he put me through but after his meeting with me today, I know exactly what I am doing”. She opened the pressure pot and poured the vegetables in it. “Mira, this is my brother, your husband. Your new life and your reputation. Do you want to gamble with all that?” I asked softly. She looked at me and pointed a knife at me. “Stay away from this fight or I will drag you down the hill”.

The overhead lights had been dimmed to half strength, and in that half light she looked smaller than I remembered her, as though thirty years of careful silence had slowly worn her down to something thin and worn at the edges. "Someone contacted Elena tonight," I said, keeping my voice steady even as my pulse refused to slow down. "They mentioned Grace. And you." Miriam's eyes lifted to mine, and I saw, for the first time in twenty six years of knowing her, something close to fear behind them. "I always knew this day would come," she said quietly. "I only hoped it would come on my terms, not because someone decided to weaponize my sister's death against your marriage."

Maya signed in relief. Mira looked at the pallu on her hand and gulped when she saw red on her skin after ages. It was just a dream for her. "Stand under the sun, let the water dry a little bit... Then go inside!" Maya said. Mira nodded knowing the colour is going to ruin the floor. Damon was just in awe. He never thought that a girl could look so beautiful in red. On the other hand, he was mad too that she was not allowed to wear it.

Meiying's face took on a dreamy quality as she thought about her plans for her future. "Alright girls. That's enough. We need to get you and Mira downstairs for the wedding to get started." Lady Amethyst handed Meiying a bouquet of flowers similar to Mira's but with in a different color. Meiying's bouquet was actually a deep orange and varying shades of ochre and oranges to match Meiying's beautiful deep red dress. Mira had balked at first until Meiying had told her that where she came from in the East, Red was a traditional wedding color. Mira had relented, not wanting to hurt her new friend's feelings.

VANCE’S POV “I know that this can’t be good,” I said to Miriam, closing the door of my home office. She sat in one of my chairs in the corner of the room. I stood facing her. “I don’t foresee any dangers for Sianna or your baby but…….there is trouble brewing for you.” I folded my arms as she went into details. “Someone wants to wage a war for the rouge you have in your custody.” “Who?” “I see a woman coming with her pack.” Miriam sighed “Visions aren’t clear sometimes but be prepared for anything or are you aware of any troubles afoot.”
