I roll my eyes. “Oh! I know! We should watch Twilight!” Ilayda says. “What part of ‘no romance’ didn’t you get Illy?” Adelina retorts. “Well, I don’t consider it a romance.” “Yes, it is. It’s about a sparkly fucking vampire that wants to mate with a human girl! Of course, it’s a romance!” I rub my temples, trying to head off the headache I knew was coming with Ilayda and Adelina’s bickering. I swear they are like water and oil when you get them together in the same room.

“I mean—yes, I’m… staying with him. Temporarily.” “Mmm,” she said, stirring her tea slowly. “And it’s true? You were human?” I nodded. “Was. Something else now, I suppose.” Alvar leaned forward, interest lighting his face. “And your sister—she’s the one mated to the Twilight High Lord, isn’t she?” My stomach twisted, just slightly. Feena stilled mid-pour. Elarin’s expression went carefully blank. “You’ll have to forgive us,” she said slowly. “That court… it carries a reputation. And its High Lord even more so. We don’t see many from the upper courts down here.”

she looked up and gave a small smile great start. “Well, well, well if it isn’t the loud mouth new kid” well not the reply I was hoping for“My name is Gwen and I don’t like fantasy novels only the cliche ones” “Twilight is a great love story only without Jake though” she laughed really hard before she replied “Now that’s quite ironic coming from a werewolf” WAIT WHAT!!“how did you-“ “You werewolves are so easy to smell cause you stink up the place with your scent” she caught me neatly with that one but I’m not going to lose “And you vampires are always so lonely because you’re scared you’ll feed on your human friends “

I Pat to the space beside me on the sofa. Lexi walks up to me with a ridiculous smile and sits along with me. " so so what movie or show are we watching today?" I pass her the remote. "Definitely the twilight," I groan while she searches for it on N*****x. " it is always werewolves and vampires. And I hate the way they give more priority to the vampires. Won't there?" I take a sip from my cup. The hot chocolate is so smooth that it melts in my mouth. I could feel it on every taste bud on my tongue.
