A pair of strong, iron-clad arms locked around my waist from behind, lifting me slightly off my feet and pulling me backward into the secluded, shadowed gap between two massive, towering bookshelves. If she hadn’t ended the call, she would have gone on talking to Seth until it was time for her exam, and she didn’t want that.
