I asked. "Well, tell me what they are about?" Hector replied as he stood up and grabbed one of the books off the nightstand. "What about this one?" he asked, holding up Alec, the Lycan King, who was my ultimate love. I took a breath as my face flushed before I began explaining the book as quickly as possible. "Umm, it's basically 50 Shades of Gray meets Twilight," I sighed as I shrugged my shoulders. Hector looked at me perplexed; it was obvious that he was not understanding what I was saying.

Sarah asked. "Not from mine," I admitted. "What about yours?" "A couple," she said with a shrug. "But that was years ago. They've already graduated." Soon enough, the twins took it upon themselves to give us an unofficial orientation. They pointed out buildings, groups of students, and dropped names as if we were supposed to recognize all of them. The crazed clones continued to attack even after murdering Twilight.

Twilight and Takumi’s bond was supposed to die after her birthday then she’d confront Trey about his feelings, but I felt like that was too much for one chapter and didn’t make the book flow smoothly 23. Luckily, my words didn’t sound too slurred. He smiled and turned to the bartender… who amazingly enough came right over. Everyone who had been waiting for a drink looked over, jealous. The girls kept looking at the guy holding my hand. There was something about him that made him impossible not to look at. If I hadn’t grown up around werewolves I would probably be staring at him too. Werewolves have this amazing ability to attract all the attention around them when they wanted it, and the older, more experienced ones could blend in like they were invisible if they needed to too.

As hard as I tried, I couldn’t decipher what it might be. One of the primary differences I noticed between my life in Geo’s kingdom and that of my new realm was the hours they kept. Where Verso tended to imitate the timeline of humans, Vampire Land was, for the most part, nocturnal. Luthias prepared me for this in advance, so when the early dawn peeked over the horizon and the members of court made polite exits to their living quarters, it came as no surprise.
